Unique, authentic and clean! We were looking for a place where to stay in the mountains and still have the Italian authentic small vila - and we found it. It was rainy when we stayed, but it didn’t changed our plans and the vibe as the villa itself has the coziness that fits any weather. Highly recommended place to stay if you want to feel the unique and authentic vibe.

We had a fantastic stay in the cottage for nine nights. Villa Alta is in a beautiful location and the grounds around the house are so well maintained. We enjoyed both the shared pool and our own private terrace with hot tub. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and perfect for our needs. It was a perfect base for us to explore the area. Raffaella was so friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the villa on a couple of occasions. We would highly recommend a stay here.

We really enjoyed our holiday at cas nel bosco, the house is very quiet and close to nature. We liked that very much. The pool and the garden offer total relaxation. We already miss everything very much. In the valley it was often 32 degrees in the first week and upstairs in the house it was very pleasant. The pool was super refreshing. The house has everything you need and the small village of Medicina is very charming. The access road is narrow and very winding, but we also saw some wildlife. Communication with Francesca and Paola was straightforward and enquiries were answered immediately. Thank you very much, we had a great holiday.

Beautiful views, 20 min by car from the nearest town, not accessible without a car. The communication went great, the house was easy to find with navigation & the area is very nice

The location is superb, great views and has a very cosy feel. The kitchen and living area on the ground floor were spacious and welcoming, while the private terrace made for a lovely place to have breakfast with an amazing view every morning. The bathroom and bedroom, situated at the first floor, were very clean and well equipped and the view from the bed was amazing every day. Our host Fabio was very friendly, informative and helpful informing us about best times to visit the main tourist attactions of Tuscany and where we could find the best restaurants and shops in the area. All in all an amazing stay! Totally recommend!

I experienced wonderful days in this beautiful location, which reminded me of the summers I used to spend at my grandparents' house in the countryside. I only realized coming here how much I need to be able to completely switch off and let time just pass enjoying the fantastic views of the Alpi Apuane. That's how I chose to spend my days, but I note that there would be plenty of hiking or driving around to visit the picturesque villages nearby should one wish to explore the surroundings. The facilities were exactly what is required for a few day stay. The hosts (Laura and Silvio) were present when needed, otherwise they left us to enjoy the place. I enjoyed my conversations with them, and loved their pets. About the place itself, it was as described in the listing, and by previous reviews. I just note that in spite of the extreme heat (it is an anomalous year also in this idyllic place), the evenings were fresh and cool, and the temperature inside the cottage was perfect.

If you are looking for the most beautiful place on earth please book! I loved everything about this amazing home. The views are breathtaking and the home itself is cozy & comfortable. There are many walking trails for exploring, fresh lemons to pick, 2 small pools and a hot tub that overlooks the villages and glistering sea line. I cried leaving this magical place. Our host Letizia was so helpful and responsive. She took such good care of us. The donkeys made our trip extra special. We fed them dailey and they never failed to greet us with their excited squeals knowing we were coming with apples. 😊 The road up the mountain can be difficult at first but after a few runs we mastered the drive. This Airbnb will not disappoint. You have to experience this amazing place.

Located in a beautifully situated village, perfect for disconnecting and exploring the nature and cities of Lucca, Pisa ... Lorenzo is a great host, great at communication and very warm. The accommodation itself is top modern, just like in the pictures and complemented by a great, shared pool ideal for a vacation.

We had a great family stay with our two children aged 7 and 11 in this charming little house located in the heart of a charming medieval village. The locals are incredibly nice and welcoming. The house is perfectly equipped with all the necessities, including an espresso coffee maker and a SodaStream, little extras that make the difference! Laura was very responsive and attentive before our arrival, and Stefania, her mom, welcomed us warmly on site. It's the perfect place to disconnect: no wifi or network, perfect for relaxing as a family. Beautiful walks and visits are to be done nearby, and for lovers of the sea, it is only 50 minutes away. A perfect place to unwind away from the daily hustle and bustle!

We had a very, very lovely stay. Ivano and Daniela were wonderful hosts. Very welcoming and helpfull. The house was absolutely beautiful and the garden was too. We had everything we needed - also for our child. We would love to come back.

Very nice house. Perfect for a couple also with child Had very bad weather unfortunately. However, the house was very warm and well insulated, which is not a given in Italy. We will be happy to come back

The apartment is lovely and perfect for relaxing and enjoying some time away from city troubles. Vagli Sotto is a very tiny town, it is possible to go there by bus, but as there is a lot of nice things to do + no bigger place to shop food around, a car was very helpful. Also, do not book if you’re looking for some luxurious place - the apartment is very comfortable and has everything one needs, but the house itself is quite simple. Contrary to some old reviews, the neighborhood was not loud at all. Catia and Anna were very easy to reach via message and very kind + helpful in every matter. Thank you!!

We had an outstanding time at Enricos place. Perfect vacation! It’s a beautiful location, a great house and an outstanding property. If you’re looking for relaxation and an oasis of solitude, it’s the place to be. Yet it is still very close to a lot of nice original restaurants, grocery stores but also Lucca and the beach are just a short drive away as well. We were welcomed by Donatella, one of the nicest person ever, who showed us the house, the property and send us tips and recommendations for things to do in the area. She was super responsive if we had any additional question. Also Enrico was a great host, making sure the house, pool and property was in perfect shape for his guests. 5 stars, without a doubt !!

It was a very nice week in Tuscany despite the rather rainy weather. The house is wonderful, large, warm, with all the amenities. There is also a wonderful yard with a barbecue, which we did not get to enjoy much, but the fault is only the weather. But our parking place was very convenient. There is complete peace and quiet, it is very relaxing. The location is great - very close to the A11, in 1 hour you can get to Florence, 30-40 minutes to Pisa, 15-20 minutes to Lucca. And to countless other Tuscan beauties. Thank you to Graziella and Marco for the beautiful home, the wonderful welcome and the care they took for us!

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful home. It was a little piece of heaven. The home was everything we could hope for. We would absolutely return on another vacation and will highly recommend it to others. Our hosts were lovely and helpful and we are so grateful to them for sharing their home with us.

Pool overlooking the mountains was fantastic. If you're looking for peace, you'll love the place. Away from mass tourism but still many opportunities to do something. The sea can also be reached in 50 minutes. Once, on the recommendation of Giovanni, we took a nice boat tour from La Spezia to Cinque Terre. Kitchen was superbly equipped.

Staying at the cottage is always a pleasure for us, the days by the beach are a treat and we travel home refreshed. We don't miss anything here.

What a beautiful accommodation in the tuscan countryside! We stayed here as a family of four and enjoyed Irenes wonderful house and garden. By car you can reach Lucca or the beach easily. Be aware of the steep dirt road leading to the house - an appropriate car is needed. We hope to be back soon - thank you, Irene!

We enjoyed the house in Torre, as the first house in Tuscany it was wonderful to arrive with attention and pampering of Stefania and her mother and father. Close to Lucca, a great base. A private parking space and privacy. The communication was very good. A house to enjoy outside with all those outdoor terraces. Thank you. It was very nice!

Had wonderful days in the beautiful maisonette. Close to the city and quiet area. Very nice bed and everything was sparkling clean!

Perfect stay, host left clear instructions, house was immaculate, very responsive when asking any questions, a stunning place with gorgeous garden, amazing outlook and walking distance to great bars and restaurants. Will definitely be back.

Beautifully restored and very cozy chestnut dryer (metato) in the hills above Bagni-di-Lucca with ample opportunities for excursions on foot or by car (Lucca, the valley of the Lima, the Ponte Magdalena, ...). It's unfortunate that Bagni itself is some past glory. The terraces in front of and behind the house allow you to enjoy the peace and the view from breakfast until late in the evening. Roberta, who welcomes the guests in the absence of the owners, is an absolute added value for the owners of "il metatino". We have never experienced its unprecedented commitment to both the stay and the guests during our previous holidays in AirBnB accommodations.

We had a lovely stay at Cherry Tree Cottage. The cottage has been beautifully converted and is very convenient. The mountain views were wonderful and there's a great pool for the end of a hot day. It is private, and we ate outside every evening watching the light fade on the mountains. The location is also excellent, both for easy access to shops and also for heading to the mountains to walk. We felt very lucky to find it. Graziana's husband was generous with his maps and walking suggestions, and you absolutely must head to Piglionico to do the interesting, beautiful and well-marked walking trails that have been his passion project. Highly recommended.
