Cottage holiday rentals in Italy

We loved our stay in this beach house by the sea. Allesandro had made it very comfortable and provided so many extra treats. It was so quiet, relaxing and calm with great restaurants nearby and many beautiful places to visit.

Davide and Annalisa's cottage was absolutely gorgeous, exactly as the pictures showed. It was the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy our last week in Italy. Breakfast out on the patio with the birds chirping and surrounded by nature was a great way to start the day. Davide lit the heater for the hot tub for us and we were able to enjoy a wonderful evening relaxing. Davide and Annalisa were full of good recommendations for restaurants and local places to visit. The cottage is within driving distance of so much - Pisa, Florence, Siena and of course San Gimignano just to name a few. All the amenities we needed were included, the WIFI was great and the cottage was very comfortable. I would highly recommended staying here and if we are ever in the vicinity we would certainly stay here again.

Lovely, peaceful, spacious place with a kind and generous host in Simone. He met us as we arrived and used his wagon to help move our luggage into the cottage. Big rooms, lots of space, many handy supplies in the kitchen. Good shower, comfortable bed. Enough bench space in the bathroom to put your things. Simone was really helpful with local recommendations for restaurants and where to park the car. One day he made a delicious tart and bought us in half. Would recommend staying at his place.

We stayed with Caroline for 10 days. She is a really sweet and welcoming hostess. We felt very welcome right from the start. Our 8-year-old son thought it was really nice with the sweet friendly cats who lived with Caroline. The house and the area are really nice, but there is a lot of traffic past the house.

Sonia's Airbnb is breathtaking. The view of Lake Como is even more beautiful than the photos in the listing. Sonia is a wonderful host - she provides recommendations, answered all of my questions and always made sure that we had everything we needed. I wished we had explored the lake with her on her sailboat so if you get the opportunity I would book it! The only thing I would advise future renters is that the road to Sonia's Airbnb in Brunate is VERY, VERY narrow and winds around and around. It is very easy to get lost and go down the wrong street. If you're renting car, try to get the smallest car possible - it will help you to maneuver the narrows roads. There is a funicular stop close to the house so you could walk there and take it to Como or to the top of Brunate. It is much easier to get off at the top of Brunate and walk downhill to the house. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

If you want to experience the Tuscany of your dreams, then this is the place to stay! The pictures are accurate but do not do justice to the beauty you will experience. Birds chirping and bees buzzing around the fragrant jasmine and roses bring peace and calm as you gaze out over the olive grove to the surrounding hillsides with views of Pienza, other towns and a retired monastery. Frank and Phil are incredibly gracious hosts and will not steer you wrong with recommendations, including wonderful restaurants, beautiful churches and abbeys, and wineries. The garden cottage is quite private and you will have no intrusions. Sitting on the patio with a glass of wine, some local cheese, and a good book was our favorite escape.

This place is truly a 10/10. I’ve stayed at dozens of BNBs over this year and I have to say that this is one of my absolute favorites. Every detail, from the decor to the cleanliness to the nature to the spaciousness, is phenomenal. I cannot recommend this place highly enough! One thing to keep in mind is that it’s nestled quite far into the mountains so whenever we went on day trips like to Pienza or Pitigliano, it was always around an hour drive or more.

Thanks to Lorraine for this choice establishment in a peaceful and flowery neighborhood in the mountains. The location is ideal for getting to Rapallo nearby or Portofino. The terrace is breathtaking with stunning sea views. The surroundings are wooded and smell of jasmine, which is always a pleasant surprise when you arrive. The bedding is comfortable, clean. Check-in instructions are clear and provided in advance with a responsive and patient host. Expect a tourist tax to be paid in cash on the day of your departure, not specified when booking on Airbnb. We had a great time at Luisella and her husband's house. Everything was perfect, the house is very beautiful, the garden is very well maintained. There is a trampoline, goats, and a beautiful pool to cool off. the bedding is also very good. Luisella and her husband are very welcoming and even if they live in another wing of the house whose entrance is independent we did not see them unless there is a need. Thank you again for hosting us!

This villa is absolutely beautiful. It is better than the pictures even show! The views are incredible and everything is so tranquil. There is one restaurant within walking distance, but with scooter rental and taxis, everything was accessible. Valentino was a great host and helped us with whatever we needed (restaurant reservation, taxis, etc). It is a beautifully maintained property and I highly recommend staying here!

Mario is a wonderful host, we had great pleasure enjoying a glass of vino or 2 and listening to his stories. At the same time he was very respectful of our time and personal space. This is a very traditional place, beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. Easy reach of Siena, plenty of local restaurants. It's an absolute pleasure staying here and will definitely return.

The house and our stay exceeded our expectations, it is a wonderful place with extremely helpful hosts. We are coming back homes relaxed after just three days stay.

A very pleasant stay in a green and very peaceful environment! Marco and Maria immediately made us feel at home. The space was seamlessly equipped. In fact, it seemed much bigger than we had imagined from the photos! We would recommend it without hesitation!

We were so lucky to find this cute little treasure and had an amazing stay! Renata welcomed us super warmly in the late evening and also gave us local tips for beaches and restaurants. The place itself has is aesthetically designed - if you‘re a fan of a natural colours and a love for details you will for sure enjoy this place. The kitchen was outdoors next to the beautiful terrace, which faces the countless orange and lemon trees in the garden. It is definitely a place for slowing down 💛 We can definitely recommend it for the south of Sardinia!

The cottage fit 6 of us comfortably! Roberto and Alessio were responsive and gave excellent suggestions for places to visit/eat. We were spoiled being on the doorstep of the nature preserve and visited a few times during our stay. Recommend without reservation.

Francesca and her kind family have created a once-in-a-lifetime, soul-grounding experience in this beautifully restored 14th-century hillside retreat in Portovenere. We loved every minute of our six-night stay. From the mind-blowing views and steep, invigorating hikes to romantic evenings sipping homemade, earthy concoctions thoughtfully left for us—it was pure magic. We were welcomed with fragrant bundles of fresh lemons, rosemary, sage, and thyme, a gesture that set the tone for the care and warmth we felt throughout. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making our rest as memorable as our adventures. We especially loved our daily rocky hike down to the charming village, and one day we even rented a dinghy to explore the surrounding islands—an unforgettable way to soak in the coastal beauty. This place is beyond gorgeous—truly a slice of heaven.

The stay with Giuseppe was very pleasant. The location, the house, the surroundings, the view, everything met our expectations. Angela welcomed and said goodbye to us in a very friendly way. We were more than satisfied.

A very special cottage on a large overgrown property, guarded by a house cat, that offers tranquility and many more amenities. The clever outdoor shower, fireflies in the surrounding meadows at night, the fully equipped kitchen and much more - for which we had no time (projector, record player, pizza oven, ...). Host Marco explains the most important things in a video in advance, so that you arrive well informed and excited. Contact with him was always very friendly and helpful - he responded in the shortest possible time.

What a privilege to stay in this unique dwelling! Beautifully designed and surprisingly bright, it also had everything we needed to feel at home — including stylish Puglian ceramic kitchenware. We loved the peaceful rural surroundings of olive groves, stone walls and wildflowers, the bikes for riding the ciclovia acquedotto, and the pool for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The location is great for exploring the charming, lesser-known towns of the Valle d’Itria. It was too chilly at night to use the lovely outdoor kitchen so we’ll have to save that for another stay! Petra, a warm and thoughtful host, has put her heart into making Trullo Cinderella a “trulli” special place, and we’re very grateful to have had this experience.

We had a nice, quiet stay with very, very friendly hosts. The house is nestled in nature in a wonderfully quiet area. Ideal for switching off from everyday life. To make purchases or excursions, you need the car, which Rosella also indicates in the description. It was an all-round successful short break for us, which was also due to the family, who welcomed us so kindly and amicably.

Our stay at Malandrino Cottage was nothing short of magical. The surroundings were even more stunning than the photos and the living space was well thought out with everything we might need/listed amenities. It was so nice being outside the hustle and bustle of town while still being within a 15 minute drive. I highly recommend this stay!
