Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Progreso

Honest review: it's fair to say it was a fantastic stay. Amazing sunsets. The hosts were very responsive both before and during the stay. The place is down a long and narrow dirt road but once you get to the home, it's true paradise. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spread out, and there is plenty of room for parking. This home is truly steps from the Gulf and there's ample patio space. I loved the thatched roof area with the table, which had lights for the evening. Wifi was strong. Things to keep in mind (some of which are out of the owner's control): having a rental car is a must, it's down a long road that is a fair walk from main road. Air conditioning is present in every bedroom, but not the main living space/kitchen, which can get warm in hot weather even with the large ceiling fans. There is not much beach in front of the home, and barely any in neighboring properties - it's not an area where you can go for long walks on the beach. Rent this place for a quiet beach vacation!

El alojamiento es muy bonito, es una casa prácticamente nueva, muy cómoda y con todas las comodidades.

The property is beautiful. It's great for a family vacation. It was obvious that it was professionally furnished and decorated. Attention was paid to every detail throughout the property. We were not too happy with the town as there was no real nightlife and the town seemed to be pretty impoverished. Thankfully the property was so inviting. We spent a lot of time at the house enjoying the amenities offered by the house. We enjoyed being able to prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The pool house was so nice. We had beach towels available to us. We had a couple of minor issues but they were addressed very quickly. While we were not impressed with Progreso. we were very pleased with the property. This is a 5 stars place no doubt! If we could give more than 5 stars for cleanliness we would as we found the house spotless on all fronts. Great communication for ease of check in and check out. Excellent for groups given the numerous seating areas that can accommodate 8-10 people all at once, outdoor as well as indoor. Accessing the ocean for a swim is swift although you have to cross over the concrete wall or step over sideways so maybe a little difficult for low-mobility individuals. Don't miss these raved about sunset swims tho! Would definitely come back!

Excelente alojamiento, super cerca del Malecón Internacional, ambiente familiar, el departamento super limpio, la decoración muy bien cuidada, con aire acondicionado en ambas piezas de la casa, la cama muy cómoda. Por otro lado Poncho ha sido un excelente anfitrión , él se aseguró de que tuviésemos las instrucciones claras, todo fluyó de maravilla . Por supuesto regresaría felizmente al alojamiento de Poncho y lo recomiendo ampliamente.

A wonderful house, out of the way, great facilities, slightly odd (but unthreatening) neghborhood. Excellent chef and masseuse recommendations. Though pool cleaned once weekly, becsuse of gulls would have preferred a working filter system. Glad there was no television; it enhanced the peaceful nature of our stay. I’d definitely return!

I loved this place, close to the beach, the apartments was very clean and well stocked kitchen, 20-25 min walk to town or quick with Uber , would definitely stay again !

Excelente lugar para hospedarte, el lugar estaba súper limpio al llegar, José te da todo tipo de información para que te muevas hacia distintos puntos de la ciudad, la recamara era muy cómoda y tenía todos los servicios a disposición de nosostros, además hay muchos lugares cerca para comer y comprar cosas si quieres cocinar. Es la mejor elección hospedarte en este lugar

This was a lovely little place to stay! Pool was well-maintained and no one was out there until after noon, so we had the whole pool area to ourselves most of the day! Great restaurant/bar across the street with food, drinks, and entertainment. Lots of ex-pats in the area, so easy communication. I would stay here again or would recommend to my friends and family,

Beautiful secluded place great for respite. Very nice family with the parents next door who are wonderful people. Uber is available sometimes it takes 20 minutes to get there so plan accordingly to head into Progresso for restaurants and shopping & groceries.

This place was wonderful, and I look forward to staying again in the near future! It had everything that we needed, and our host was extremely proactive about anything we had questions about in the area, as well as information related to checking in and checking out, so we could make the most of our stay. She was also able to take care of a few rowdy neighbors who were partying too loud, and that was very nice to experience because not all hosts do that.

excelente ubicación, un departamento realmente bello, estuvimos 8 días por la recuperación de mi esposo y fue increíble 🫢 despertar y ver el lago wow eso no tiene precio una vista increíblemente hermosa, podíamos salir a caminar tranquilamente. me sentí como en casa y la atención de Charito fue maravillosa, siempre estuvo pendiente, y cuando tenía alguna pregunta contestaba rápido, fue muy amable y amigable. calificación 11 de 10. cuando regrese a Mérida volveré alojarme aquí sin duda alguna.

Increíble el departamento, muy lindo y cómodo, tal como en las fotos. Cuenta con muchas amenidades, la cocina está muuuy completa, tiene demasiados utensilios. En el baño dejan shampoo y jabón, tienen toallas suficientes y plancha para la ropa. Los climas funcionan súper bien, en general todo funciona bien a excepción de una tv que realmente no afecto nuestra estancia. En el balcón hay un sillón súper cómodo para pasar la tarde ahí, y se ve la alberca. La alberca está muy a gusto, tiene una altura de 1.2 mts aproximadamente. La playa queda a 1-2 minutos caminando, sin embargo, (al menos a mi me toco) hay un olor nada agradable en la parte de la entrada y la zona ahí no está muy “adaptable” para estar en el mar. En conclusión, lo recomiendo muchísimo vale la pena.

¡Una joya de alojamiento! El departamento en el cuarto piso ofrece una vista espectacular que disfrutamos todos los días. La ubicación es perfecta: cerca de todo y en una zona muy tranquila. Las dos piscinas del complejo son ideales para relajarse y pasar el día. Todo está limpio, bien cuidado y tal como se muestra en las fotos. Las habitaciones son cómodas, frescas y con todo lo necesario para una estancia agradable. La atención del anfitrión fue inmejorable: siempre disponible, amable y atento a cada detalle. ¡Definitivamente volveríamos a hospedarnos aquí!
