Ricardo’s cosy, well designed cabin offers great value and a very convenient base for Ponta Delgada and the west parts of the island. The space is thoughtfully laid out with a shower room, kitchenette with enough supplies for basic cooking, and a lovely outdoor space to sit and enjoy a coffee. I was travelling with a 4-year old and it worked well for us. I appreciated having a parking space within the compound (as it’s not always easy parking in Ponta Delgada) and it was also great to have a split AirCon unit as the nights were rainy and quite cold so this helped keep the room warm! Others have touched on this in reviews but to reiterate: the gardens are gorgeous and very tropical but location-wise it is on the outskirts of Ponta Delgada. With this in mind, you are getting a very convenient location with parking and easy access to the town (a 10 minute drive) but you will hear some traffic and it’s not a countryside location (though once inside it feels that way with the gardens).

This was one of the loveliest places we have stayed on. The peace of the location with stunning views of the mountains and only the sound of the birds to disturb the peace. It is an animal lovers haven with Joanne's three friendly dogs coming on walks with us and welcoming us home in the evening. While the road is rough we managed fine with a cheap Fiat Panda hire car, just watch out for Google maps taken you on impossible roads. We took the train to Lisbon (an accessible station only 25 minutes drive away). We had a day at stunning beach but most of all we enjoyed relaxing at this beautiful place. Zauberhafte kleine „Gartenhauswohnung“ mit eigener Sitzmöglichkeit im Garten und Grillnutzung. Liebevoll eingerichtet- klein aber fein! Für uns ein ruhiger Wohlfühlort etwas außerhalb des Zentrums der Stadt. Unsere Räder durften wir im Schuppen unterstellen. Die Kommunikation war super, danke liebe Celia! Jederzeit wieder!

For a week-end early April it was really nice to stay in the studio , with a very friendly cat for company, in the middle of the beautiful Alentejo country side surrounded the place , and a spectacular view specially early morning watching the sun rises, it was something very special to live. I will never forget .

I stayed here as it was very close to the airport and convenient for my early morning flight. I dropped my hire car back the previous evening and had a wonder around. The area was very nice despite being right next to the airport and i found some very tastey local restaurant to have dinner. Great value for the money and even provided breakfast. Very pleased and walked to airport in about 20mins. Plenty of uber etc available if you dont fancy a walk.

Die Unterkunft liegt wunderschön auf dem Berg mit Blick zum Castle und zum Meer. Die Ausstattung entsprach unseren Vorstellungen und ist sehr geschmackvoll. War bis tu diesem Zeitpunkt unsere schönste Unterkunft auf dem Fischerpfad. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt bei Katharina & Nelson sehr genossen und uns wohl gefühlt. Sie sind äußerst freundliche Gastgeber und sehr bemüht. Auch der Garten ist sehr schön und lädt zur Erholung ein. Die Orangen, Zitronen und Avocados aus dem Garten waren besonders toll. Können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen.

Carole's place is a gem as is Carole. The place is even better in person than the photos indicate. The views are amazing and her gardens are beautiful. The lodgings are carefully thought out and designed for comfort and enjoying the spectacular setting. Our only regret is that we didn't get more time to enjoy in the space. Carole is a warm and welcoming host who shares her knowledge of Sintra and Portugal and her time. Her input on Sintra was invaluable for us in formulating a plan to see the sights. Carole also goes above and beyond by providing a small set of provisions for breakfast. I highly recommend Carole's place if you stay in Sintra.

Das Häuschen war super süß und das Gelände wunderschön grün und verwunschen. Samatha hat uns sehr geholfen und unterstützt und das 3 Gänge-Menü,das sie gekocht hat, war suuper lecker!!! Danke für alles!

excellent rapports avec hui et Nick qui nous ont accueillit d'une très bonne façon avec des douceurs et de manière conviviale. ils ont été de très bons conseils quant aux choses alentoures a visiter (plages, restaurants,etc). toujours soucieux de notre bien être tout au long du séjour. accueil parfait nous espérons revenir leur rendre visite au Portugal. xoxo 🩵 Matthieu & Candice (France)

Great guy. He was easy to deal with. If you’re looking for an Airbnb right next to the airport, it was very easy, especially with parking and wonderful hot shower!

Estancia muy tranquila y relajada. La habitación es muy confortable y la anfitriona nos ha recibido de forma amable, siempre pendiente de nuestro bienestar. la Zona es muy bonita para hacer actividades y disfrutar de la naturaleza.

Wir sind mit unserem Sohn hier in den Urlaub gestartet, superschöne Unterkunft mit privatem Pool. Wir wurden so herzlich und persönlich begrüßt. Auf Nachfrage wurden uns alle Wünsche erfüllt, wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen, und kommen gern wieder.

Everything you need in a holiday home up to a smallest detail. Fully equiped kitchen practical bathroom and smaller bedroom. "cozy" for sure😎Hosts are incredibly nice, , wait for you on parking, welcome you with a soup on arrival, and brings some treats when you leave😍 Location is also great when you have rented car for trips around the island. If I have to come up with something to complain, I didn't really liked the bed, but that's just me, my wife liked it😅

La casa és molt còmoda perquè està al bell mig de la ciutat i ho tens tot a prop. És una casa espaiosa o tranquil·la, excepte per la gent que passa pel carrer sense tenir en compte els veïns. Pots aparcar al davant mateix sense pagar, de de les 19h fins les 8h del matí següent. Si no, hi ha dos aparcaments gratuïts a deu minuts. Hi hem estat una setmana al mes d'abril i hem trobat lloc cada nit. Però potser a l'estiu és més difícil. Bona estada!

We had a nice stay at Ana & Joana's place. The Vila is really well taking care of. The outdoor spaces are really beautiful and pleasant with plenty of space to chill and enjoy by the pool. The apartment was pretty spacious and well equiped. It would have been good to know beforehand that the tourist tax, shower gel / shampoo, washing machine were not included in the price. Overall our stay was good!

The apartment is very spacious and very cosy. You can even see the ocean from the terrace. It has everything you need and grocery shops are very close by. We felt very welcome and the communication with Ana & Jorge was perfect. We can highly recommend.

A quaint little appt about six minutes walk away from the main marina area. The appt was very clean and also very well equipped with everything you would need if you chose to cook (hob only). Washing machine also available. Bathroom also well equipped with great shower. Would certainly book again.

Marco et sa femme sont d’une hospitalité exceptionnelle ; c’est rare de vivre une expérience aussi chaleureuse, et cela fait vraiment plaisir. Toujours souriants et attentifs, ils veillent à votre bien-être et n’hésitent pas à partager de précieux conseils sur les itinéraires à découvrir dans la région. Le petit déjeuner est tout simplement délicieux : des produits frais, bio, tout ce qu’il faut pour bien commencer une journée d’excursion. Le logement, situé au bout d’un petit chemin de terre, est niché en pleine nature. Le calme y est remarquable : on n’entend rien d’autre que les sons apaisants de la nature. La suite, confortable et décorée avec goût, offre tout le nécessaire pour un séjour des plus agréables. Grâce à eux, j’ai pu pleinement déconnecter et profiter de mes vacances comme rarement auparavant. Un grand merci et un gros bravo pour tout ce beau travail 👏🏼

Le logement un dans un endroit calme, un peu en retrait du centre historique. Mais une balade à pied de 15 mn vous permettra de vous y rendre. La piscine est bien agréable… et le logement coquet. Manuel et Gloria sont aux petits soins….tout en discrétion !
