Family-friendly holiday rentals in Port Franks

Darryl and Allyson’s Lakehouse was the perfect place for a weekend getaway with friends. It’s clean and comfortable with everything we needed to enjoy ourselves, and we even got to enjoy a Lake Huron sunset from the upper deck. Darryl and Allyson are responsive and honest and generally great hosts. We’ll be back!

We had a great family vacation with two little kids. We felt right at home in the spacious home, and utilized the 8 person dining room table for meals. The beach, coffee shop, restaurants, ice cream stand and shops are all within a two block walking distance. When not at the beach, the large covered patio was where we gathered to watch the kids run around. It was very private and we hope to go again next year.

Was lovely. Even though we are local, we rent every year on Lake huron because it’s beautiful and we don’t love how busy grand bend main beach. This is by far one of the very best. Better than the photos. We will be back! Thank you 😊

A beautiful, quiet, very well maintained oasis, overlooking gorgeous Lake Huron! Excellent location, between Grand Bend and Bayfield, for day trips and restaurants, if desired. Very well stocked kitchen; comfortable, tastefully decorated and spotless home ( the view!) We really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub! Johnny is a super responsive and helpful host!

This was our third visit to Sara’s beautiful relaxing home. It’s an absolute perfect location and the colours in October are wonderful! A quiet cozy stay that my family so deeply enjoys. I do imagine that we will be back for a fourth. Thanks again!

I stayed for 3ish months. Flat worked very well for my stay. Would highly recommend if you have a dog as there’s a lovely and large backyard. Bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. Good, quiet, convenient neighbourhood, the upstairs tenants are wonderful, and Jennifer (host) is extremely responsive. Smaller bedroom is quieter as you can hear pipes from upper flat in the larger bedroom. I had only one issue with bad flooding during a high rain period. Jennifer was responsive, and sent someone to deal with it early the next morning. Once we spoke about it she then gave me an extra night, which I appreciated. She was also understanding and flexible about extensions/changes to checkout. Would stay again and recommend.

I've stayed about five times at the Cottage. We go back because we love the space it's so open, and outside there's so much green space and so much to do depending on the weather! We always enjoy a night at Cowbell which is so close! On cold nights you can snuggle by the fireplace and keep warm and cozy. The hosts were great at keeping the snow out of the laneway so we could get in and out. Thanks again Melanie we really had a great time!

My husband and I stayed here the night of our wedding. We arrived and Rose and her husband had a gift and card waiting for us on the table. The house was very clean, beautiful location and everything we could have asked for and more. Thank you Rose and family to allowing us to stay!

My partner and I enjoyed our Winter hibernation in comfort in Angelene’s cosy, warm and inviting cottage 🥰🔥 Angelene was very responsive with any questions we had.

We had such a lovely stay at Charlene’s place this past weekend. The place was very clean and tidy, with access to a beautiful private beach with a spectacular view. It was nice and quiet in the evening with access to warm water at all times. Great location as well, along with the private beach, this place is very close to Grand Bend strip & the Pinery market. Overall a beautiful stay, would definitely like to come back next summer!

George was super helpful and very responsive. His cottage was such a wonderful place to be with family. It’s a huge, open space with gorgeous views and a private backyard. We had everything we needed during our stay and we’ll definitely be back!! Thanks, George for sharing your beautiful cottage with us.

We had a great weekend. This is not the kind of place some airbnbs have become -- a hotel experience. Instead it had an authenticity and humility that we loved. The horses and other animals were fantastic, and the space was very comfortable. We would love to go back again.

My bestie & I celebrated our 40th Friend Anniversary and it was perfect. We had a bonfire, which was set up by Yvonne’s son, roasted marshmallows and had a really peaceful night. In the morning we spent time feeding the Alpacas, took a walk with them and looked at the little shop. It was a wonderful stay and we will be back.

Host was extremely accommodating. Communication was excellent. The location was perfect.

Very kind and responsive host! House was close to downtown area which was walkable and had great restaurants. Loved the bath and had all that you could need when out of town (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, kitchen supplies, fridge, microwave). Comfortable bed and pillows too :)

Dave and Ania are well worth Super Host status! The space itself is luxurious - bright and airy, yet warm and comfortable. I have NEVER had such a finely equipped gourmet kitchen in ANY vacation rental! A fridge stocked with essentials, coffee, tea, cream/milk, sugar, water, and more. Beautiful bedding and decor, super comfortable mattresses with duvets! Quiet, dark residential street full of mature leafy trees. The hosts are warm, welcoming, friendly, and helpful.I booked this stay for my family while I underwent a kidney transplant, and the hosts’ compassion for our situation, kindness and gentle support made it a superb safe resting place for my family. I can never thank them enough for creating this lovely oasis.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cottage, suite B, despite the 22 stairs to get to the room! Had 2 coffee makers, but no coffee😞…. Otherwise an amazing place! Cute little deck out back!

Had a fabulous stay here. The house had everything we needed to make our stay a home from home experience. Loved the loft for cozy movie nights and used it as my yoga studio in the day. The kitchen was well equipped and the sunsets at the lake were amazing. We hiked a couple of the local trails in the snow and warmed up in Groggs afterwards. Foodland and Tim’s a short drive away when needed. Perfect.

Easy to find and check in, quaint space and spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay here again.
