The nearest town is 10 minutes away with a cinema, restaurants and the market which takes place every Tuesday and Saturday morning PS: Public charging station for electric vehicles 40 m from the cottage.

My place is in Gouarec, a pretty town in the heart of Brittany, on the Nantes-Brest Canal, the Voie Verte 6 & 7 cycling routes & forests. All with miles of cycling & walking. The beautiful coastlines of Brittany are only just over 1 hour drive. The beach at Lac de Guerledan is 10 mins away. A good selection of shops, bars & restaurants are available. You’ll love my place because "Blavet" is modern bright & airy & is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, inc. bedding & towels.

Fireplace included (wood not supplied). Lots of things to do nearby. Lake Guerlédan: waterskiing, paddleboarding, fishing. Quénécan Forest 10 minutes away. The nearest coast is 30 minutes away.

2 bedroom and 2 bathroom cottage in a peaceful and rural area but close enough to get to Rostrenen and Carhaix as well as other villages including Glomel. There is a garden area with seating and a fire pit. Private parking is available on site. There is also the use of a communal large garden which is also used by the owner who lives next door to the cottage. The area has a lake with a beach and is close to the Brest to Nantes canal. Area is good for fishing, walks and cycling.

When renovating it, we wanted furniture that you won't find in everyone's home, wooden furniture, which has charm, a history, most often made in France. This concept brings serenity, calm and comfort. The renovation is also chosen in harmony with respect for ecology: hemp/lime walls, straw insulation, wooden partitions, slate slabs in the bathroom and toilet.

Within walking distance of 'La Vallée des Saints' (around 200 sculptures!) and a 15-minute drive from various restaurants and supermarkets (in Carhaix and Callac).

Gîte near Lake Guerlédan

A few kilometers from Lake Guerlédan, this cottage for 4 people, redone in 2012, is composed of an entrance, a kitchen/dining room – living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom and two toilets. It is located 5 km from Bon Repos Abbey, 10 km from Lake Guerlédan, 60 km from Lorient or St Brieuc. Guests will have access to a large garden, deck chairs, BBQ, ping pong table and badminton set.

Lockhouse

Lock house surrounded on both sides by lawn overlooking the canal; house located at the entrance to the "tranchée des bagnards". 100 m from a nautical base but unfortunately this year the department decided not to open it. Direct access to hiking trails and mountain bike trails (canal and wood). Accommodation located 3 km from local shops: grocery store, pharmacy, pizzeria, bistro.
