Apartment holiday rentals in Platanes, Rethymno

Chrysa is a very friendly and helpful host. She answered all our questions very fast. The apartment was very clean and just like in the pictures. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

We had a wonderful time at Nikos's place. Nikos was great, he's probably one of the friendliest hosts I've ever encountered on Airbnb. The place was exactly like in the photos, clean and cozy, and the host was always helpful and answered our questions whenever we had some.

Yorgo's place has very good location: is close 5-7 min to the beach, very close to Backarei, several supermarket, good taverna. This is not directly in Retimno, but very well accessible in 10 minutes by bus or 2 km with a nice walk along the promenade along the beach promenade with many restaurants. The apartment itself is spacious and well equipped(larger fridge, stove, dishwashing and washing machine,mosquito net in every window, air conditioning). This includes a balcony where you could sit in the evening and a small pool with lots of water toys. Yourgos and his daughter are also very nice people. Yourgos always responds quickly, gives good tips and even ended up giving us traditional Greek sweets. Thank you. We can recommend Yougos Appartament.

We fell in love with this apartment and Manos hospitality five years ago and came back 6 times since then. Already booked the next stay before we left. Niki and Cristos were really lovely and friendly hosts. Fresh flowers, homemade biscuits and cake, wine etc were provided and left in the apartment. The apartment was bright and clean. They treated us as family and really made us feel at home. Surrounded by the most amazing mountains. Beautiful people on beautiful Bali. What more could you ask for? Eif charisto! We were unfortunately only 5 days there. We felt very comfortable from arrival, nothing was missing and the apartment was very clean. We would definitely recommend Zoi's apartment to anyone, as everything was also available within a short distance such as the beach, very good restaurants and the old town of Rethymno was within walking distance. We would definitely book the apartment again if we fly to Crete again.

Maria's place looked like the pictures. Beautiful, modern and very clean. And within 2 minutes you are at the beach. Communication was also very easy. We would take this AirBnB again and again. Highly recommend!

If you’re trying to decide, just book it! This was probably my favorite place in Greece that we stayed. Great location, wonderful terrace. Well equipped kitchen. Lots of little extras that made us feel at home like creamer for coffee, toast with jam and honey. Wash machine was a bonus. Great communication. Would book again without hesitation!

This was one of the nicest AirBnB apartments I have rented. What was responsive to questions prior to the trip, arranging taxi service from the airport. Even though our flight was two hours late and we didn't arrive until 10 pm she was there to greet us and show us the apartment. Her restaurant recommendations were outstanding. Finally, the location on the outskirts of Old Town Rethymno could not have been better. I enthusiastically recommend this place!

We loved our stay at Nomas! It was a beautiful space to be able to come back to after various activities in the city. Andreas was very nice and hospitable, always asking if we needed anything and giving us various recommendations. Should we ever return to Crete we will look to see if Nomas is available to stay.

One of my favorite Airbnbs. The apartment is spotless, beautifully decorated, and full of thoughtful touches—truly exceeded expectations. Our host was incredibly friendly and welcomed us with an amazing olive oil cake. Mirthios is peaceful and charming, just a short drive to beaches and shops. The best restaurant is right across the street. Couldn’t recommend more

The space was spacious, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. We especially loved the large deck—perfect for enjoying morning coffee or dining outdoors. The location is great, with a wonderful bakery and market just a short walk away. You’ll need a car to explore the town and surrounding area, but everything is within a short, easy drive. Our host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, sharing great tips and insights about the area. They also took the time to share aspects of the local culture, which made our stay feel even more special. We were lucky to be in Rethymno over Easter—it was an unforgettable experience!

When we arrived Pantelis was waiting for us outside in front of the listing. He was there to tell us we were there and told us where to park😍 He even helped us carry our luggage to the room. Back there a bottle of wine was waiting for us with 2 cups of wine🤩 In addition, we had everything we could dream of and in addition we had coffee, apples, and tender bars... wowww never seen that 😜 Such a nice attention🥰 In addition, the place is renovated and it's really beautiful😍 There is even a dryer on one of the galleries if you want to wash a few pieces of laundry ☺️ Listing is directly across the sea 😍 To tell the truth, it's the building that is across the sea but our room overlooked the mountain🥰 I travel a lot and this is my first time giving a 5-star rating and it really deserves a perfect rating.

We loved our stay at the Alice Villa. Location is truly fantastic for shopping and loads of restaurants. We spent quite a bit of time at the villa when the weather wasn’t the greatest and we couldn’t have been happier. Thank you Marianna for the wonderful hospitality and the gifts. Have to mention the people we met in the restaurants and on the streets, soooo friendly. We were very sad to leave. Could’ve stayed a lot Longer. Book it, youll love it. Until next time.

We loved our stay here! It is a great location - super close to the beach and a short walk into old town. The place is beautiful - so clean and beautifully decorated. We felt so at home. Such lovely touches - fruit, coffee pods, earbuds, cotton balls, bamboo toothbrushes etc. Marilena was really responsive, very clear check in and check out instructions and such great recommendations. Would definitely recommend this spot to stay at if you are in the area.

We are now back home and have had some time to reflect. From check-in to check-out, it was simply amazing. We felt right at home. Traditional food was regularly left at the door by the family. At the beginning, we were also surprised by this. We had a great rental car and drove around the area a bit. The place is perfect for that. Approximately 1 hour from Heraklion Airport and everything else is accessible. Would we book again and again.

Mike was great from the start…we booked last minute and he texted me immediately. He made everything very easy and was extremely friendly when we got there to check in. He showed us everything about the apartment that we needed to know and gave us lots of tips on where to go to eat and to see the best sites. The rooftop space was beautiful and the apartment was very close to everything in the area… We were able to walk to everything! I would definitely recommend staying there… Thank you, Mike!

Great stay, great location, great views. Very close to many bars and restaurants. Not too noisy at night. The only slightly negative aspect was the shower. Basically made the entire floor flooded. Overall, i would recommend the place and would definitely return.

Hidden gem! Loved this home, literally two minute walk to Golden Beach. Katerina is so sweet (she met us in-person, had local restaurant recommendations, and even provided a bottle of wine). The home was perfect for our group of 6 (great value for the money, too). Would 100% come again!

Andreas was a friendly and responsive host who answered our questions promptly. The flat was well equipped and in an excellent location very close to the old town. We would definitely stay again when next back in Chania!

Fabulous Manolis and his family were wonderful, they were incredibly kind when meeting us upon arrival and very helpful throughout our stay - always responding to queries quickly and offering useful advice about the local area. The apartment is in a great location being a short walk from the sea, shops and the old town. The view from the balcony is gorgeous, with the fort to the east and coastline to the west. The apartment was clean and well stocked offering all we needed for a week long holiday.

This was our first holiday abroad in over 10 years and first for our daughter (9 yoa) and it was a perfect stay! We love Rethymno, especially the old town and the location of the suites was perfect for us. The people of the town are super friendly and kind, and especially so to children, which is lovely. There are many amazing places to eat, drink and enjoy on the doorstep. Athina was an incredible, kind and very helpful host. She arranged our airport transfers and even a late check out with short notice. The apartment was incredibly clean and airy, with air con, great facilities and lovely sofa bed, we felt very comfortable and at home. The yard area and pool were a great addition to the suites and we used it daily. Thank you so much, we hope to stay again in the future!

This place is beautiful! We enjoyed our stay especially watching sunrises with coffee on the balcony and watching sunsets with some wine. The views are stunning. It had all the amenities we needed for our stay and was quiet when we needed some rest. It was about a 20 minute walk to old town and had good sidewalks and lighting. Parking in Rethymno can be challenging so having a spot was very convenient. There is a little beach across the street for a quick dip in the sea. It is a great spot for venturing to other locations. I highly recommend checking out the artist town of Margarites. Nikos was a great host, very easy to reach and provided some lovely recommendations.
