Based in the lovely village of Yaxley, it is quiet and rural but close to travel links and local attractions. The Village is within easy access to the A1 and is also very close to the East of England Showground, we are very close to a large shopping centre and a great choice of take aways and restaurants. Guests have use of an entire suite / a light, spacious bedroom in our annexe, just 10 m from a 16th century Elizabethan cottage in the very heart of Stamford. (High St. is barely 1 min walk away but the street is quiet, as it is an access only road) The annexe has a private entrance with 2 secure locks. Parking - free on site. Private en-suite bathroom & shower. Wifi, TV, microwave, kettle & light breakfast are provided (cereals/ fruit)& guests are welcome to use our cottage kitchen & laundry.

In the churchyard, neighbouring the award winning and brilliant Railway Inn, this 18th century Ketton stone cottage is a very special place to come and stay with friends and family. We have the Rutland Vineyard, a village stores, it is near Rutland Water, there are fab local walks, a great food scene, and there is Burghley House in Stamford, “England’s most attractive town” according to John Betjeman. For me, it is like the Loire and Cotswold towns, but friendlier and with fewer Range Rovers.
