The Bothy is a wonderful place for both r&r and as a base to explore the wilds of Scotland. It’s incredibly peaceful, cosy, and well located. There are plenty of walks that leave from the front door, as well as some beautiful longer walks a short car ride or cycle away. Susannah was a wonderful host and kept in touch which was much appreciated. Definitely stay here if you can!

Lovely few nights in Chris and Janet’s beautiful little cottage. Photos don’t do this place justice. We felt very relaxed there and loved playing cards in front of the fire. Beautiful nearby walks. Thank you again.

Beautiful and well appointed cottage in a very quiet location, the perfect place to unwind! Expertly hosted by Catherine from the provision of detailed instructions on finding ‘Roughstones’ to personal touches of a hand written welcome note not to mention the home baking!! This is a real gem that offers rural tranquility whist the towns of Dunkeld and Blairgowrie are only 10 mins by car. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Roughstones or stay again in the future.
