Monthly Rentals in Perla

Our stay at Eduardo’s cabin was nothing short of wonderful! The peace and quiet, the birds, the beautiful trail to the water, and of course the cabin. But one of the best parts was how well Eduardo looked after us! The cabin was even better than the photos. We had a very comfortable bed, and everything we needed in the kitchen. And the washer, dryer and Netflix were added perks! Javier was our driver who was so kind to be available to take us to the many locations and activities in the area. We went to a Saturday market in Guapiles, and there were also vendors and music at the park. We also visited Centro Manu and Nectar Pollen Reserve for birding. Eduardo has provided a binder with extensive information and suggestions. He has included brochures with Caribbean birds that may be seen in the area. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay, and a better host! Thank you, Eduardo for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

The area was beautiful, I enjoyed long walks up the mountain every morning. The host was always available and very accommodating. Casa Tulu is a beautiful house with a wonderful spacious yard. I stayed with just me and my dog. The house and surrounding area are safe, peaceful, and great to walk around and enjoy the outdoors. There is a physical guest handbook that contains everything you need to know in Spanish, English, and French. The garden has edible plants! I had to beat the other animals for the guavas, which were so good! I picked blackberries for my morning oatmeal. You'll have access to a wash machine, a dryer (rare find), and a clothes line. The nearby river is within walking distance, and Pablo's dad was SO KIND in taking me there so that i didn't have to go alone. Celine, Pablo, and their family and friends throughout Aquiares were so kind and hospitable during my stay. I wanted to stay longer, but realized i needed more space. This was a wonderful and memorable listing if you enjoy small, quiant towns, peace in nature, and the pura vida life. ❤️

This is a second time that we have visited Karl’s property. Since we came last time he has put in an additional lane that allowed us to drive our car all the way to the Finca - luxury indeed! It is a magnificent place in a valley surrounded by a beautiful stream and forests that you can walk up and round and along. There are many birds and this morning we saw a jagundi outside our bedroom. It ran away as soon as it heard us move. The sounds are beautiful. The space is wonderful and although it feels isolated it is only a 15 minute walk downhill into La Suiza. I have to say it’s probably a 30 minute walk up though! We love this place and wouldn’t hesitate to suggest you try and book it. Local shops and restaurants are great and there is a genuine feel of friendless and kindness within La Suiza itself. I think it is well located to reach many other excellent tourist and non-tourist experiences. Karl is one of the best hosts we have had.
