Holiday rentals with breakfast in Periyar

Our stay was incredible, the house and property are truly beautiful and better than described. The house is spacious and comfortable. I will say that my husband and I traveled around India for 3+ weeks and Deepu's home was the only one with consistent, amazing hot water in the showers. Everything is sustainable, grown from the earth, and thoughtfully crafted. Deepu, Sanita, and Shijo were amazing hosts who were very responsive, kind, caring, and invested in us enjoying our time there. They went above and beyond to ensure this. Shijo is amazing cook and a wonderful, giving person as well. Thank you so much for having us and we hope to return one day! Lots of love, Diviya and Jamie

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The property is stunningly beautiful, surrounded by tea plantations. The moment I arrived, I was struck by the peacefulness of the location—it felt like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The home itself is cozy, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I especially loved the outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring our stay was smooth and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a calm, rejuvenating retreat, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Very beautiful and quiet surroundings. But the approach Road was slightly difficult to navigate.. Last 100 mts only one vehicle can pass. Also mobile range is poor so difficult to call and ask for directions. Food was nice for a 2 day stay but more than that can get repetitive. Not too many places to eat close by.. Atleast have to drive half an hour for a restaurant. For the price you pay it was definitely worth it.

I had a opportunity to stay at Calm Shack with my family for 3 days. My expectations were to have a calm and peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. This location not only met these expectations but surpassed it. The hosts were very friendly. Ajay and his parents treated as their own family. The property, the surroundings were out of the world. For those who want to have a peaceful stay and enjoy nature, this is the place. The food served by the host was awesome. All in all I would rate this as the best part of our Munnar itinerary.

What a beautiful home! So serene, calm and beautiful views throughout. Mithun has really put a lot of thought into every aspect which is really appreciated. Getting to the stay is easiest by car as it's a slightly steep hilly walk, though a very pleasant one. The whole place is bright and airy, with stunning views yet very private. Yeshu, the kindly caretaker was around to help as best he could. The stay has no TV which I felt was a plus as you can really enjoy the stay while you're there, and Mithun has left lots of activities (badminton set, dart board) to keep guests entertained. Great suggestions for nearby food places, though I'd also suggest trying the real local smaller eateries where we had some really great food. Overall I'd recommend this stay, well worth it. Awesome place right on the hills. When arrived was stunned with a the view of the mist and fog clouds around hills. Just sitting on the outdoor patio watching this was priceless. The space was very neat and the staff was really helpful. The host Neetha was very responsive and gave us clear instructions on how to reach the location as well as gave us the menu from nearby restaurant and the staff brought us the food we ordered. Also arranged bbq and campfire. Was really nice. The staff was available throughout for any assistance we needed. Would 100% recommend.

The Planter''s Foyer is in a magical place, Kamballikad. It is the result of friends and families coming together under the shared vision of natural building and nature based living. The architectural touches are just divine, from the use of natural materials like stone, wood and reclaimed stuff, to antique pieces and soulful stuff dotting everything - it is quite something- a class apart from the average concrete monstrosity put together usually in Kerala. We booked for two days and stayed on location the whole time. Making walks to find sunrise and sunset spots, to being served meals three times a day by the caretaker Shijo- which had its highlights: Idiappam, the pork curry, among many things. I loved the skylight in the bathrooms, the shade for the lamps, the wooden boxes for all electrical fixtures. The last stretch to the location is a task for the unseasoned driver, the cllimb is very steep and I struggled, but we could have utilised the caretaker's offer to drive up

The stay at Swastham was great and unforgettable experience. Mr. Joy was so helpful and very friendly. The bungalow has a massive plantation where Mr. Joy took us for visit, it was so pleasant and informative. He described about the plants and cultivation process, my kids and wife enjoyed very well. Had homemade foods daily which is so tasteful. One day Mrs. Joy cooked traditional Kerala style breakfast and it was truly tasty. Every morning we wake up by hearing beautiful sounds of the birds and hot coffee and sit out is unbelievable. There are two caretakers and they were very friendly and we felt like staying in our home. I highly recommend this place. Truly truly amazing. I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Misty Hogans-Hill Station stay near Munnar- 3 BHK! From the moment I booked, the host’s communication was excellent, ensuring a smooth experience. Their caretaker was incredibly helpful—not only did they assist in reaching the location, but they also prepared delicious home-cooked meals that made the stay even more special. The property itself is stunning, blending thoughtful architecture with sustainability. As someone who appreciates design, I was impressed by the intricate details, and when I mentioned this to the host (a civil engineer), he personally called me to share fascinating insights about the construction and features, including the rainwater harvesting system. Every aspect of my stay was enjoyable—from the warm hospitality to the serene ambiance of the place. I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a memorable and enriching experience. I would love to visit again!
