Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Périgord

Absolutely the best place we've ever stayed. Even better than the pictures, so peaceful and beautiful. Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. Would definitely return!

The house is really perfect for a break from everyday life with friends, ideally located and very well furnished. It is clear that the construction of the house was done with the well-being of future holidaymakers in mind. I have absolutely nothing to complain about, even without having seen the otters! We were lucky to meet Gertjan who is really nice and available, and we had Helena by message who is just as nice and responsive. We will come back without hesitation!

We had a brilliant week at David and Jo's. The cottage was beautiful, with gorgeous old features but also up to date and pristine. Photos make it look lovely but it's even better in real life! Everything you need, including sharp kitchen knives and the most comfortable bed I've slept in in a while. Stunning surroundings and so peaceful. Had great fun in the pool and trying to play tennis! Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. David and Jo were such lovely, kind hosts. Have already recommended it to friends and family. Really hope we get to return.

Beautiful home in a beautiful part of the country. Very peaceful location yet less than 5 minutes drive from Brantome centre. Host was very helpful and responsive and had a whole list of recommendations for local restaurants, places to go, etc etc. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was absolutely beautiful, with stunning surroundings and an amazing view. Thierry was incredibly kind, helpful, and very responsive throughout our visit. This Airbnb is one of the best we have ever stayed in. The cottage is beautifully decorated , very romantic, with everything you could possibly want. The garden is also very pretty. Although it's only a 2 minute walk to a bakery, small supermarket and quite a few restaurants, it is in a quiet location. There is also a farmer's market on Monday mornings. We just loved everything. Chantal was extremely helpful with suggestions on where to go and what to see. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you so much Chantal for sharing your gorgeous cottage.

A perfect accommodation located in the old town to take beautiful walks with an ice cream shop close by that we enjoyed. Adrien is very attentive and available to his guests Thanks again for the little gift for us and for our cat. The accommodation is very quiet and peaceful. Fully equipped for a perfect stay, we also enjoyed the garden. We recommend the accommodation without hesitation and we will return without hesitation.

We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the apartment and its terraced garden. The view from the terrace is a pleasant one overlooking rooftops and towards a hill. It was nice to meet Ralf on arrival who showed us around, explained how the apartment worked and had time to have a chat - so much nicer than arriving to a lockbox. This is a new listing so I think almost everything is brand new - which was a plus. The beds were firm and to our liking. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and cooking utensils - which is great as I like to cook. There is a nice dining table and chairs on the terrace as well as other outdoor furniture. The apartment is really close to the historic centre of Sarlat - probably a five minute walk. Also close by is a bakery and it is only a few minutes walk to the supermarket if you don’t want to drive to the bigger supermarkets on the outskirts of the town. The property has a locked gated entry with parking just to the side of the apartment.

Our stay went wonderfully well. The place is even nicer than the pictures. It's very clean, very bright and very quiet. The garden is superb and enjoys stunning views of Cordes sur Ciel. The children had the great joy of being able to play there, to run there. It's a real slice of paradise. We would highly recommend this beautiful place and will be happy to come back!

Excellent stay at Agathe's in a small haven of peace in the middle of nature, exotic and relaxing. Feel free to enjoy the hot tub and sauna, a very nice experience despite the bad weather!! We highly recommend this listing.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Sandra and Patrick's place. It was very confortable, clean and in a lovely peaceful location. Sandra and Patrick were friendly and helpful. We would visit again.

We just spent a few days at this amazing apartment in La Roque-Gageac. The place is in a building several hundreds of years old, renovated with lots of taste, beautiful and modern bathrooms, a lovely courtyard with tables and chairs to relax in, comfortable beds. Adrien and Marion are a wonderful couple that welcomed us warmly. Our children loved their gentle dog, Indi - we loved the restaurant next door. The perfect place for a glass of wine and a taste of their remarkable food! Right in the center of la Roque-Gageac, loads of things to do such as hikes, castle visits, going to markets, cooking class, biking and canoeing (what we couldn’t do due to poor weather conditions). I highly recommend staying here! All the best to Adrien and Marion!

I came to Catherine's flat last year and returned for a night this year. It is a very attractive flat with very useful amenities. It is very well located for Limoges train station. Last year I came to Limoges airport and the taxi to the apartment was not too expensive. This year came by train and it is a pleasant walk to the flat. Catherine communicates very well.

We spent a wonderfully restful and restorative week staying at Le Lapin Sur le Toit. The house is very old and characterful, and full of quirks. Extremely comfortable, both inside and outside, whatever the weather is doing; we had mostly very hot weather and were glad of the thick stone walls keeping the house nice and cool. The kitchen is well-equipped. We made use of local markets (the one in Rouffignac on Sunday morning is great for essentials, and there is a bigger one in St Cyprien) The small 8 à 8 Carrefour in Rouffignac has all the basics, and bigger supermarkets at Le Bugue and Montingac. The garden is beautiful and very private. We are not bird experts by any means, but saw and heard woodpeckers, cuckoos and hoopoes. We saw lizards, deer, bats and walked down to the field at the bottom of the garden to see the horses. Cat also came to inspect us on evening patrol. Overall, a beautiful, comfortable house in a peaceful, tranquil setting.

Apart from getting very lost trying to find it we had an absolutely wonderful stay. The house is really beautiful and perfect for our party of 9 (including a baby & toddler). The pool was really fun and we enjoyed the ping pong table. The house was very well equipped and we found lots to do within 30-40 min drive. Lovely restaurant in Coly (10 min drive) opposite the church and great supermarket in Terrasson (15 min drive). Lots of local markets, Sarlat was especially good. Would definitely recommend this beautiful house and we hope to be back one day!

Very clean, very functional accommodation that fully matches the description given. Comfortable accommodation decorated with sobriety and taste. Very nice terrace given the excellent weather we enjoyed. Well equipped with kitchen utensils. Very convenient cellar available for us who had mountain bikes.

This is the second time we have stayed at Loustalet. Need I say more? Extremely comfortable home, everything we needed for a family holiday. Nightingales sang in the woods, buzzards and kites soared above us and we were visited by hares and deer in the garden. The house is well situated for what we needed in Castillion la Bataille and close enough to enjoy Saint Emilion and Libourne. Our host was extremely attentive and helpful yet respected our privacy and we are surely to return again.

What a delight to arrive in Marcillac-Saint-Quentin! The driveway reveals a well-kept park with a large shared swimming pool. An exceptional welcome from Mariette and Jacques! Mariette is discreet, attentive, very gentle and generous, and has a sense of hospitality. The exposed stone house has a private garden with table, deckchairs and BBQ. - On the ground floor, freshness is welcome: equipped kitchen, Louis Philippe living room, renovated furniture. Majestic open fireplace, ready to be lit. Another nice touch. - Upstairs 2 spacious bedrooms, also well cared for. Quality bedding and linens. It's a pleasure to open the windows in the morning, listen to the birds singing and watch the squirrel jumping from tree to tree. The house located 10 minutes from Sarlat, not far from Lascaux, is perfect for reconnecting with nature. It is a haven of peace with a beautiful energy. We'll be happy to go back! I would highly recommend it

This is a beautiful house. The photos don’t do it justice. The surrounding countryside is peaceful and quiet. The house has pretty much everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Val was a kind and attentive host who responded to our messages quickly and was helpful with recommendations for bakeries, patisseries, restaurants and days out. Sadly the weather meant that the pool was a bit too cold to use but we used the plentiful seating in the pool area a lot and were able to eat out on the terrace in the evening. I would thoroughly recommend this beautiful home and we may well be back another year.

The house matched the description. Jean-Baptiste responded very quickly to our questions. The setting and location are fantastic. The swimming pool with the vineyards surrounding the house are an absolute added value.
