It is on the first and second floors of a 250 year old building and has a double bedroom, a single bedroom, an open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room, and a small private-use courtyard. It has a unique charm with wood beams and wonky walls, ceilings and floors, all of which add to its character.

You’ll love staying in this historic Grade 2 listed, quirky bolt-hole. Full of character and at least 300 years old, there’s plenty of charm to be found within its beams and original features. With 2 sets of stairs, and low beams, this place is not suitable for children or those with mobility issues. Please note there’s potential for noise on Friday & Saturday nights.

Farrier's House near Ullswater

Farrier's house is a renovated barn conversion that was previously a farm shop. The house is located in the village of Stainton which is located 5 mins from the edge of the Lake District. It is only 5 minutes from Penrith, 10 minutes from Ullswater and 20 minutes from Keswick. Dogs are more than welcome! We also rent out Black Mesa on AirBnB should you need another property for friends and family! We live just down the road and so if you have any questions or problems we can quickly help.
