Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Penonomé District

This home was perfect! In a luxury, private peaceful gated community of Buenaventura. Home was exactly what we were looking for while celebrating our 25th anniversary. You can lounge by the backyard pool or walk 50 feet and play in the hotel pool! Very well stocked kitchen. Comfy beds and last but not least it always so reassuring to have a good host that you can rely on. Sandra and Esi were just that!

It was a joy and privilege to stay in Humberto’s home. Having booked the home for a last minute getaway with my family of 7, we were all surprised to find it so very beautiful, spacious, tasteful and clean. As a previous Airbnb Superhost and frequent user of Airbnb, my standards are relatively high and Humberto’s home exceeded my expectations.

Booked this gorgeous house for the weekend to celebrate my Mom’s birthday, and honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect. The place was spotless, exactly like the photos, and in a lovely gated community that felt super safe. Just a short spin from the beach, and the amenities were absolutely class — everything we needed and more. Tatiana & Heyler were brilliant hosts, always quick to respond and really easy to deal with. We were even able to check out a bit later, which was a lovely bonus. Thanks again for helping make my Mom’s birthday so special — we had a beautiful stay. Would 100% recommend!

The home is a beautiful sanctuary. The grounds are lush tropical and extremely well maintained. Elizabeth is responsive and kind. The bird diversity is amazing! We stayed a couple of nights and will likely return to spend more time.

Great location and place to spend with the family.

We had a wonderful month here in April-May 2025. Follow the written AND photo pictures she provides the 1st time you try to get here - there is one turn that is confusing but her picture for that turn completely makes it clear. The kitchen is very well equipped. We especially appreciated the air fryer. The location is quiet. The people we have met are friendly. Massive couches were comfortable. House was in good repair. Large yard with fruit and other trees. The climate was great, we only needed the A/C sparingly especially with the pool. All of us (my wife, one of our adult children and our 4 younger kids 12,11,10 and 9) will return. Asados Fefa: tiny & tiny menu but great food at low cost &La Paradita Grill Restaurant (try their Chorizo Tableño) are worth going to though only open weekend evenings, there's a wonderful low cost panadaria a km away, though we never figured out what its hours were! Try the fruit/veggie vendors East of Rio Hato and West of Anton, lots of variety, low $

We really enjoyed the house, it is very well equipped for cooking, hammocks for resting, swimming pool in front of the house garden, very clean, very cozy and pleasant. The spectacular saltwater pool, the beach is close and you can walk. Eduardo was very attentive, very kind and was flexible with the check-in and check-out times. Excellent host! We would definitely stay at this villa again.

Janos was super attentive and attentive to what we requested. I recommend the place, only that the restaurant area is very small and we did not find enough variety, we had to move to goodness that has more food options, otherwise everything is excellent

I was for business and a little sightseeing. The apartment is better than the pictures. My wife and I had a very comfortable few days. Tania was always attentive and pending. Highly recommended

It was a very nice and comfortable stay at the Villa Decameron suite. Everything was clean and organized well, suite is looking same as on the listing pictures. The area is beautiful. Lia is a wonderful caring Host, always in contact and helpful when needed. We love to come back there in future.

Very peaceful place, right on beach

The photos of the view really don’t do it justice. It’s the perfect spot, with access to several amenities. Can’t wait to be back! We’ve booked a couple difffent ones in this community and this is by far the cleanest, and best stocked one

The apartment is very comfortable and its kitchen is very spacious. We've been to other Airbnb places and this one has the most comfortable beds and sheets, hotel quality. Suitable for families or large groups. You don't have to drive to get to the beach club, as it's close, but the noise doesn't reach the apartment.

Excellent place, very comfortable facilities and super fluid communication with the host. We felt super safe and wonderful to go with the family. I will try to go again as we loved it, thank you

I can only describe the De Janos house as a stay... Super Incredible!!!! It exceeded our expectations!!!

Such a little treasure in Buenaventura. Will definitely book again. Very well stocked kitchen and so beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed calling this place home for a few nights!

We had a lovely, peaceful stay in Philip's apartment. It is ample and comfortable and had everything we needed. The balcony overlooks the pool area and you see and hear the ocean just beyond. We went for long walks on the beach and swims in the ocean. It is a beautiful stretch of beach there. We will definitely go back!

Our stay in Rapha's apt was spectacular. The apartment is super comfortable to be with a family, it is very well equipped and very clean. They also have details that make you feel at home, like a baby chair, plates, glasses, etc. We loved the place, the apartment and the attention we received from Rapha! We will definitely come back and recommend it 100%.

The best location that I have got the opportunity from Buenaventura, clean, perfect location between the pool and the restaurant and the first floor, easy. Thanks for all 🙌

Incredible stay, the apartment has a privileged location and with a beautiful view of the sea. Going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the background waves is priceless. In addition, the apartment has everything you may need during your stay. We will definitely be back.
