Peaceful, luxurious and surrounded by beautiful views. The food and cocktails from the onsite bar were 10/10. Everything was as described - glass of fizz on arrival and the hot tub was already warmed up ready for us, such a perfect romantic getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend!

We had a couple of very relaxing days away at this cozy lodge. Would definitely return, great surroundings and a nice town close by. Clean and well equipped lodge with great views all round.

Vicky is a wonderful host, was always responsive to messages and didn’t hesitate to go the extra mile for me when I had special requests for our stay. The location is amazing with a railway station right at the back of the lodge. Inside the lodge itself was beautiful and very clean and the highlight for me and my fiancée was the hot tub. We absolutely loved our stay there and had the absolute best time and cannot wait to return there in the future.

Staying at Emma's lodge was an absolute delight! We were looking for a remote getaway with a hot tub, and this ticked the boxes perfectly. The peaceful, relaxing atmosphere made it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nestled on a charming farm, the lodge offered stunning views and a real sense of calm. One of the unexpected highlights? The friendly cows who wandered over to say hello around 11pm, it was such a sweet and memorable moment! Emma was a wonderful host, and everything about the stay felt warm and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in a tranquil, rural setting.

We really enjoyed our stay, shame it wasn't for longer! The cabin was warm, cosy & comfortable & well equipped for it's size. Having a BBQ & fire pit was a great addition which we loved. We would definitely stay again & recommend.

Lovely lodge close to amenities and plenty to see and do. The welcome book with places to see and eat was brilliant. Very clean lodge and the extra little touches was an added bonus. Christine was always available for any questions. We would stay there again.

We had a lovely little stay here. Perfect with two children and a great location to explore everything we wanted to explore in York and surrounding areas. Charlie checked in a few times to see if we had everything we needed, which was very kind. The caravan was lovely and clean and had everything in you could need for a few days away.

Every single detail — from the beautifully set-up kitchen to the cosy fireplace — was so thoughtfully put together. The lush green surroundings and lodge-style charm made it feel like a peaceful hideaway. We had to use up some precious annual leave to make this trip happen — and honestly, it was worth every single day! If all holidays felt this relaxing, I’d be submitting leave requests a lot more often! The place was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed — it truly felt like a home away from home. What an amazing place to spend a lovely few days to celebrate a special birthday! Charlotte is a fabulous host and was more than happy to answer any questions we had.  We were provided with clear directions to guide us right to the lodge, and there was lots of very helpful information about the lodge, the surrounding area and attractions. On our arrival the lodge was immaculately presented and well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The lodge was very spacious and comfortably accommodated 7 adults and our Border Collie. It felt welcoming and homely, and Charlotte had put a lot of care and attention into preparing the lodge ready for our stay. My family and I were blown away by the  stunning views of the lake, and the hot tub was a bonus. We even had a visit from a family of swans who were keen to show off their beautiful baby cygnet. Thank you for letting us have the pleasure in staying at your fabulous Lodge. We will certainly be back, hopefully soon!

What a relaxing, beautifully appointed and tastefully accessorised lodge. We had everything that we possibly could need and the lodge was clean throughout. Additional garden was a bonus had the weather been better. We will definitely consider booking again in the future. Thanks Alma.

Great stay, clean and cosy. Amazing communication and super helpful. Easy access and easy to find with the descriptive map etc. Not loads to do near by but if you drive it’s not far from certain places however great for a nice relaxing stay. Would recommend and stay again. Thank you!

The Chalet proved to be a lovely home from home for our 10-night stay. Dan and Jemma are super-friendly and helpful hosts. And the interior design is lovely. We particularly loved the polygraph / bar, record player, amp and record collections - and Jemma’s delicious homemade sourdough loaf! This was a perfect location from which to explore the many delights that Holmfirth has to offer. And yet it’s peaceful enough to enjoy listening to the birdsong / the rain (though there was only a little!). Thanks Dan and Jemma for a lovely stay!

absolutely amazing cabin very cosy home from home feel . hot tub was amazing after long days walking the lakes. the cabin was lovely and clean. beds was really comfortable and clean linen. the little added bits like washing up liquid hand wash ect was such a bonus.

We loved our stay. Plenty of walking and did not use the car once. The pub the Jill and Steve booked us into had amazing food too. The cabin had everything we needed. Thank you for an amazing stay
