Holiday houses in Pekhri

Super clean, comfortable, staff who go above and beyond, yummy-large portioned food, well located, friendly-adorable dogs, perfect for staying with small kids (the garden is too cute)... it checks all my boxes and more. My favourite part, however, must be the thoughtful details that make the forest edge feel homey: from the decor, choice of furniture, astounding collection of adults and children's books... my favourite stay in Himachal by far! highly recommend.

Pros -Hidden gem in nature -Awesome food, Kanu ji can compete in master chef -Kanu ji and his family were so welcoming and friendly took really really good care of us -So get to experience actual pahadi tradition which is not blemished by anything -You can’t go to elsewhere, you are really just in a place(Can be con too depending on your preferences) Con -The trek path is not for everyone especially at night it can be risky. Was strenuous for my parents(who are senior citizens). I would ideally deduct 0.5 star for this, but because of hospitality, food and such a nice location went with full 5 stars :)

Had a really good time in laida, 2 days are not enough to explore so will recommend you all to atleast stay for 3-4 days and enjoy great hospitality of the family and specially delicious meal cooked by NOMIT Thakur…

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a staycation at this beautiful property, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, always greeting us with a smile and attending to every little detail with genuine care. The property itself is a hidden gem — tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and incredibly cozy. Special thanks to the hosts (Pratish, Negi ji and his family) for their thoughtful touches — from the welcome basket to the personalized recommendations for local spots and activities. It was the last stay of our itinerary, and we never thought it will be so peaceful. The place was so happening and so soothing. The best part was the food it felt like home. We really enjoyed the stay. The barbeque session was so awesome. Naresh was so helpful in arranging all the things we needed. He also guided for a wood fire pizza which is near to this place and it was a lifetime experience. The location is so peaceful and still untouched.

Our 2 nights stay at Village view can only be called magical! Mohan, the host, took such good care of us and reminded us why they say “atithi devo bhava” in India. From ensuring we reach the place safely to helping us find a hidden dipping pond near the stay , to feeding us the yummiest home made food, everything about this stay was a 10/10! Still reeling in the view we woke up to each morning, truly felt like we were sleeping in the lap of the mountains. Will most definitely come back - for the view, the food and for Mohan Ji!

Clean, homely, has all facilities considering the remote location. Food is yummy and wholesome. Neety and Sachin are cheerful and welcoming, you will have the most comfortable stay. Chehni Kothi itself is a quaint and beautiful village overlooking Jibhi and Tirthan valley. No problem with mobile network. 綺麗で静かなとこ。ゆっくりくつろげだ！

Saloni’s place is tucked away in a quaint village in Sainj Valley, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and untouched nature. The house is a beautifully restored Himachali home. It is warm and full of character, clearly built with love over the years. One of my favorite things to do was lounging on the hammock in the garden, reading, surrounded by flowers and greenery. Life moves at a different pace here - slow, quiet, and peaceful. The home cooked meals were fresh and delicious every single day. And the dogs, penny and chandler, were the sweetest! Saloni is a wonderful host. She’s kind, helpful, and full of great recommendations for nearby places to explore. She’s created a space that has good vibes and feels welcoming. Also, a shoutout to Pragati, the volunteer during my stay. She kept the energy up with her fun banter and stories. If you’re looking to escape the fast paced city life and slow down, this is the place for you.
