It is located in the back yard of our home among gardens and a quiet neighborhood. Its only a 4+ block walk to the Barker House, Cupola House, Waterfront Park, and other points of interest. This very charming Cabin has just been restored in Fall 2019 with all new floors, walls, HVAC, Bathroom, TVs up and Down, furniture, etc. Some limited cooking features.

My family and I love this big old house. Enough space to have togetherness and yet enough space to have a room for quiet time. My adult children would like to make this our annual vacation spot, next time we're going to try booking during cooler months as well. This was an amazing stay! Jeannie and James were the best hosts! Everything was as described in the listing. The Smokehouse, bunkhouse, and bath house were all very cute and decorated quite nicely with a mixture of antiques and modern touches. The location was close to a nearby state park and the town of Edenton (Jeannie recommended visiting and we were not disappointed!) and only an hour from the OBX. The rooms had fresh cut flowers, cookies, water, coffee, and other amenities to make our stay very comfortable. Both James and Jeannie were very thoughtful, even turning our lights on for us one night when we were returning late from the OBX. I HIGHLY recommend staying at this property if you are looking for something close to the OBX, historical sites, and nature -without the craziness of staying in the touristy areas. Our stay was very comfortable and we look forward to returning on a future visit!
