Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Payette Lake

Staying at Cindy’s place was the BEST! We have been to McCall 5-6 times over the last 4 years, but Cindy’s has been the best so far. You can tell that she takes pride in her place! One thing I loved: labeled everything. All light switches, etc had labels, which was nice. Made it so easy. She has bikes that your family can use and helmets, which is a nice touch. We brought our own, but still, so nice! She’s right now the road from the yummy coffee shop, so that’s fun! It’s a little bike ride to the beach, but a much longer walk. (We knew this, so why we brought our bikes) there is a heated bathroom floor. Epic. She has pots and pans galore! Large fridge! Amazing stove! We were able to use their prime video, not sure if it was intentional but it was awesome! The jacuzzi was awesome as well. I loved that there was 2 bathrooms and laundry area. One weird thing: the roof creaks or something at night (at least over the master). Didn’t bother us much. This place was the BEST!

Amazing spot & so accommodating! Walking distance to everything & so comfy. I recommend this home 10/10, good for friend groups or family settings. Loved this home.

I've stayed at many different places in the McCall/Donnelly area and what I appreciated the most about this cabin is that it had great air conditioning and the furniture was not old and uncomfortable. A lot of times people put their old things in their cabins when they upgrade but it didn't feel like that at all. The beds were so comfortable! It was furnished beautifully and the view from the living room is absolutely stunning! James is very proactive with communication and we had all the information we needed and knew any communication would be responded to quickly. Highly recommend!

Very comfy and cozy! Extra touches of thoughtfulness throughout the home. Loved the house binder full of recommendation for food and activity. We appreciated everything that was labeled as it made it easy to know which switch was for what. Kids bunk room was awesome with the tv set up and chairs. Super clean, comfy beds, very nice towels and linens. We will definitely be back to take advantage in the summer months as well to enjoy the cute backyard. Great location, quiet and peaceful.

The home is comfortable and well-stocked, and the location is fantastic. Angela was great at communicating and trying to resolve issues. The WIFI wasn't working and she offered to get someone out to fix it. The only downside to our stay was that the AC airflow was so low that it wasn't cooling the home. There was a fan and a portable AC unit that we were able to use which made things a bit better. Other than that, this place met all our needs.

The vacation rental was very spacious and clean. It had a very large kitchen that was well stocked with everything that you would need to accommodate a large family. We loved the high ceilings and the modern look. Multiple bathrooms were wonderful when dealing with a large family everybody had their own space . We made use of games that were provided during our stay. The house location was very convenient for activities in town and going to restaurants. Also, it’s a short drive to get into the mountains and local lake activities. I would recommend this vacation property to anyone that is wanting to visit the area.

Beautiful modern home in a quiet, peaceful setting. Highlights included the lovely water and mountain views, the well-appointed kitchen, the comfortable rooms and beds, and the sauna and hot tub. Jesse's communication before and during our stay was excellent. Would definitely go back!

We had a wonderful stay at Mary’s Fine Pine Place! The home is in a perfect location, just a short walk to Ponderosa State Park and the beach. Large windows let in plenty of natural light and offer beautiful views of the surrounding pine trees, creating a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Mary was an excellent host with great communication, and the home had everything we needed to feel comfortable during our stay. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay. It was as advertised. Perfect for a weekend getaway with my Wife, 6 month old & our dog. We had some issues with the Wifi upon arrival but Amanda was quick to respond & got it all resolved. Would stay there again in the future

We will be back to Cara’s place 👍. She’s done a lovely job decorating but still clutter free. The beds were comfortable and the linens soft. As noted, there is no AC but we were comfortable with the breeze through the beautiful windows and the temps were pretty mild during our summer stay. We spent most of our time out adventuring but it was a very relaxing and comfortable air bnb to come back to :). Even though there isn’t water access (as Cara did a great job confirming), the view is still so nice from the living room/balcony.

We always like McCall. Mike and Stella's place is close to town and close to Ponderosa. We felt welcome. The beds were nice. We're a family of four, and sitting together at night was a bit odd, as there are two big (very comfy!!) chairs to sit on in the living area. No room to add seats for the other two members of our family. We made it work by sharing the big seats, but this could be something to be aware of. There is not really a kitchen, but you can make yourself a cup of coffee or heat something up in the microwave. There is a fridge. Stella and Mike had left plenty treats for breakfast, which was nice! If it was just the two of us, I'd like to stay here again. We liked the area as usual, we went cross country skiing at Bear Basin, show shoeing near Gold Fork Hotsprings, went sledding in Ponderosa. In short: we loved it!

This is a very comfortable and roomy location. The cleanliness was impressive. The appliances are high grade. The location is relatively close to town and very close to the state park. There is a community pool and clubhouse is a short walk from the house. McCall is a great destination and this is a great place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Karla’s! The apartment was clean and the bed was sooo comfy! We loved having access to the club house and used it to go in the hot tub + steam room! The only bummer is that the pickleball courts were closed since they hadn’t removed the snow yet. Something to keep in mind is that the apartment is a little far from downtown (~25 minute walk) and McCall doesn’t have great access to uber/taxi. Not a huge issue if you don’t mind a bit of a walk but could be an issue when it’s very cold out or nighttime. Overall, lovely stay and would absolutely come back!!

This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay. Located about 7 miles outside of McCall, Idaho. A quick drive can get you to restaurants, grocery stores, or recreational areas. I would highly recommend.

This place was a fantastic find! The space itself was adorable and very comfortable. It was small without feeling tiny! Hot tub is a great addition. Love it and will stay again. (And the cookies left out were amazing!!!)

it was a very late request and I appreciate Brett's a ton of this and quick response that allowed me and my crew have a place to sleep at night. The place was as described and priced fairly. A a cool log home with some cool interior log post and overall cozy feel.

Alex and Brian's condo worked out perfectly for our group with it's close proximity to the golf course and downtown. It was clean and well-stocked and Alex and Brian were responsive and accommodating. We would love to stay here again!

Though we only had an overnight stay, this place was so cozy and made us feel at home. Their home was so cutely decorated and the gaming table upstairs was awesome. I would def recommend their property. It is very nice & tranquil. I would love to stay again but for longer next time.

Everything was perfect. The place was exactly what we were looking for. The beds were very comfortable- the first night, I slept so good, I woke up and forgot I wasn’t at home! They really went above and beyond by thinking of everything we could have possibly needed! The loft area was perfect for my three teenagers - my daughter loved the privacy of the nook. Even though she had to share the space with her brothers, it really gave her privacy! We would definitely stay again.

The place was easy to find. The residential area was quiet. There were a couple of cooking items that were not clean and some crackers on the floor by the couch, but everything else was very clean and tidy. Overall a very nice weekend getaway.

Fantastic stay! The space was beautifully designed, spotless, and well-stocked—even had coffee, which was a great touch. The host was super responsive, making the experience even better. Absolutely worth the money!

Peggy’s place is a great place in a nice quiet town. Definitely a great place to relax and get away.

We stayed for 3 nights. This unit housed all six of us with ease. It was in a very convenient location, close to downtown and walkable. Nice to have the pool and club access too.

We had a wonderful time staying here in McCall. The location was perfect and walking distance to stores and a couple restaurants. The apartment was spacious and comfortable with a nice view. We would absolutely return for another stay.
