This 1950s home is certainly more unique than most hotel rooms in Baker City. With only one owner in 71 years, the 2 bed, 1 bath vacation rental is filled with charm. All we added during the restoration phase is air conditioning, a few antique furniture gems, and mid-century modern decor for style, comfort, and a fun blast through the past. Everything else is original, including the hardwood floors which we found hidden underneath the carpet! They were quite literally, held in a time capsule!

With a queen bed and 2 twin bunks it’s perfect for a couples getaway or bring the kiddos. Enjoy the completely fenced in outdoor space complete with custom greyhound corn hole boards, hot tub, blackstone griddle, gas fire pit, card games and plenty of seating. 1 small dog is welcome to join for a $15 a night fee.

The house is located in the center of Baker City, with the backyard bordering pathway and the Powder River. It is only a couple blocks away from downtown shops, restaurants and the city park. The house was recently renovated and ready to accommodate guests year round. The house is has a fully equipped kitchen, Wifi, propane BBQ grill, and a large fenced in backyard. We recently added air conditioning units to the bedrooms for the summer months.
