Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Parua Bay

Greg was fantastic to deal with and very accommodating with our requests for change of dates. Would highly recommend this location and property.

Very private with lovely bush surrounding. Very friendly ducks. Well equipped kitchen. We had everything we needed to have a relaxing stay with our family of 5. Host was always available as well as the neighbour who helped clear the blocked driveway from a fallen tree due to cyclone Tam. It was an eventful stay but we enjoyed every minute of it and would definitely stay there again.

Nice clean and quiet place, and walking distance to small supermarket and coffee. Good set up with comfy double beds in the three bedrooms and nice open plan kitchen and lounge. Great area to explore from this nice place. Highly recommend.

Blown away by location and beautifully presented home, complete with all the bells and whisltes. Loved that we had access to plenty of beach toys, games and books. Did not need a thing. Felt right at home after travelling 800kms. Perfect size for a big whanau who love the beach. The sunrises and sunsets are stunning.

I booked on behalf of work colleagues and they had a very comfortable stay. Thanks for the prompt communication and wonderful home for the guys to relax in after work.

Our whānau had a wonderful stay at Rawiri’s Airbnb. Rawiri was exceptionally responsive and helpful throughout our visit. We were truly impressed by his warm hospitality and manaakitanga. The two adjoining properties — which we hadn’t realised were connected — far exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean, modern, and spacious, providing the perfect environment for our whānau to relax and enjoy. Ka nui te mihi ki a koe, Rawiri. We look forward to returning in the future!!!

Back again! It’s a great place with incredible views out to the Barriers. Simple but stylish with plenty of tools in the kitchen to knock up a great feed, and, the best slumber with the comfiest of beds. I reckon we’ll be back!

Absolutely fantastic! Met our needs even more than we imagined! Teens loved the rumpus rooms and consoles provided! Bedrooms were beautiful, upstairs was an absolute sanctuary! Location is ideal and communication was perfect! Will definitely be back next time we come to mangawhai!

Five adults and six children had a wonderful weekend in Mangawhai, using Carolynn's house as our base. There was plenty of space for everyone to find their own corner, both inside and out. The kitchen was big enough for several cooks to work in at once and the dining table was big enough for us to all sit around so mealtimes were a treat, not a chore. Amazing view to the east, including sunrise across water and moonscape sand dunes. The spa at the end of the day was a special treat for our family, as was the large TV screen in the lounge. We missed a few books and board games but everything else was in good supply. Thank you for a special long weekend with my family Carolynn.

I cannot say enough about how beautiful Gill's home is. The surroundings are so beautiful, short drive into town where you can find everything your looking for. Gill is such a wonderful and kind host, if you have a chance to visit her home, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for making my son's wedding so special, so lucky to have met such a amazing woman.

The house is situated on top of a hill with a breathtaking view. Our families of 10 adults and 4 children spent four nights at the lodge. The house is like maze. Plenty of space for everyone. It's clean, fresh linen and towels and reliable wifi. The kitchen is very well equipped to cater for large groups. The outdoor BBQ and pizza oven were a bonus. Plenty of things for the kids too i.e. trampoline, table tennis, throwing darts and toys. Great communication from the host Daniel. He sent clear and easy to follow instructions a few days before our arrival. We want to go back again and would definitely recommend this place.

A beautiful home that was well equipped for a busy Christmas Day with family. The outlook was simply breathtaking. We enjoyed the alfresco areas, playing pétanque and finding the tree swing. A simply beautiful retreat to relax and unwind.

Shivani is an absolutely delight and a fantastic host! The description and pictures represented the beautiful and tastefully decorated home to perfection. It was really a home away from home. Beautiful location, gorgeous views and incredibly well maintained property and home. Thank you Shivani, for your generous hospitality, warm and helpful nature and being so incredibly responsive. Carmen and Justin are friendly welcoming host who go the extra mile to ensure you have a memorable relaxing break in their beautiful home. From the start they had excellent communication-accepting our late request on a busy weekend with a contractor rounding up on site. The home is cosy, clean, stylish and ideally located. It was children friendly and had plenty of board games and entertainment for quality family time. Despite our short stay we would highly recommend and book again in future. Thank you for a short and sweet getaway.
