Very quiet, very peaceful. Very private, mostly. There are a few neighbors but they were quiet as well, they waved as we drove by. Getting there was easy. Recommend you download the maps of the area prior to getting there as there is no cell service once you exit the Interstate. Peter also provides detailed information on getting to the house. Once you arrive at the house, WiFi works well. The upstairs bedroom is a loft but it works well. However if someone in your party likes to get up super early , or likes to stay up super late, you can hear them downstairs shuffling around. Bring earplugs if that bothers ya. The wood burning stove most definitely works to heat up the house. I had to chop up the wood into smaller pieces in order to fit the stove for burning. It was nice to see the nearby wildlife, mostly squirrels, lots of different birds, we even encountered some deer or elk on the main dirt road when we were headed up towards Grand Canyon. It was awesome. We would return!

We booked the place for our trip through AZ. Andy, the host, was very friendly, helpful and responsive. The cabin is beautiful, nice for a quiet get away and not to mention the beautiful night sky, amazing for stargazing and night time astrophotography! Overall we've had an amazing time during our stay there. Highly recommended!

The photos don't do it justice. If you want a remote. peaceful, quiet property, You won't find better than this! Plus, the home is incredibly well stocked including some canned goods/food, plenty of extra linens and bedding, and even sample sizes of your favorite cocktail! A 20 minute drive to Williams, ideal to get away from the touristy center of Route 66. We only had two but the second bedroom would perfect for kids or another couple.

Beautiful historic cabin in a quiet pine forest on Kathleen’s property. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway close to Flagstaff and the South Rim. Communication and check-in were a breeze.
