Villa holiday rentals in Panormos in Rethymno

We felt incredibly comfortable! The house is not visible to anyone and you have a great view of the countryside and the sea. The bed is large and cozy and there is everything you need in the kitchen. Emma and her father responded very quickly to messages and were on site in case of problems (the heating broke one in the evening and the craftsmen fixed it the next morning). A special luxury was the cleaning every 3 days and nice welcome and farewell gifts. We felt like home and will definitely be happy to come back! :)

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was spacious, spotless, and exactly as described. The owner was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. The location is perfect – close to beautiful beaches and just a short drive to Rethymno.

We had a fantastic time. The villa is stunning and had just been freshly renovated. Everything about it is designed to maximize the beautiful views, the airflow, peace and tranquility. The hosts were communicative, kind and generous with flexible check-in and out. The fantastic pool area, stonework, bathrooms, kitchen, linens, sauna/steamroom, washer & dryer, game room -- all were top quality. This was easily the most beautiful AirBnb we have ever stayed in. It was a good home base for exploring Crete. We were also happy to save one day for relaxing at the villa. We were only a family of four, and the villa could have easily held twice as many. Would love to return one day. Made wonderful memories here.

An absolute gem, we had an amazing stay at Maria's place. The house is absolutely beautiful, modern with quality all around. It's also super private with nothing but nature around you. Will definitely be coming back!!

We were 2 weeks to 4 people at Villa del Mar, and were completely satisfied. Within the 14 days, towels and bed linen were changed three times, as well as the apartment was well cleaned. If something leads to problems, the response time was great. Yiannis had very valuable tips on site and met our restaurant taste exactly with his recommendation. Thanks again for that. Finally, a note about the place Parnomos, just perfect for the 4 of us, not too much hustle and yet everything is available. Even though there is one or the other construction site in the area, but it rather upgrades the place, it was not disturbing for us. So for us very clear 5 stars.

We particularly enjoyed the location and the villa. all amenities were as described and new. The view was breathtaking and the villa offered plenty of privacy and tranquility despite the fact that there are three identical villas next to each other. Beach, restaurants and supermarket were within walking distance. So we didn't need a rental car. The village of Agia Pelagia was also within walking distance. It is still a fairly traditional Greek fishing village but quite touristy. All in all, had a great stay where the host, albeit remotely and without personal contact, was always active online, responded quickly and proactively provided information.

We had a wonderful stay at this stunning villa. So tranquil, we all loved it. It was well designed and we had everything we needed for our nine day stay. The owners were very quick to respond to a couple of queries we had. One of the best Airbnb we have stayed at. We will definitely be back

We were 13 people and we had a great time at this beautiful villa. The host was very welcoming, friendly, attentive, available and responsive. Regarding the villa, it is even better in real life than in the photos…. Very clean, ideally located, materials, bedding, services... of quality! If you still hesitate…. Go without so much so as to be so so, you won't be disappointed!!! We will most certainly come back and I will recommend it to my entourage... 5 stars largely justified and deserved!!!! Thank you again for this stay and to your parents for the little plus upon our arrival which was much appreciated and touching ….perfect!

This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

This is a 10/10 Villa. We have travelled a lot and this is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children aged 2, 4, 9 and 11). The views are stunning, the pool is big, all the rooms have private bathroom. Jacuzzi is also perfect for when the sun goes down! Theo was a wonderful host helping us, giving good recommendations and suprising as with some nice gestures. This Villa really is a Gem as the name suggests. As for the surroundings - it is 100% private! For me the best part was that there is a nice local village to walk to every night. There are some amazing Tavernas/Restaurants with delicious food and reasonable prices (also a mini-market). There is also a nice beach with a good restaurant and a nice cozy beach bar - it is only a 10 minute walk from the villa. And if you rent a car then it is a 10 minute ride to the Rethymnon old town, which is also a very nice place with lots of shops and restaurants. The Villa was worth every euro!

We had the most dreamy of times at the villa! Maria gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home right away. We loved her hospitality and proactive hosting, giving us tips and recommendations of places to visit in the area. The place provided everything one could wish for, from pristine looking rooms to hammam showers, a fine gas bbq and shaded terrace, glorious swimming pool, comfy sofa and a kitchen chefs would enjoy. The surroundings are to die for. Sinuous roads and endless sea views, unique beaches, but also mountain hikes, gorges and wine tastings not far at all (car is a must). Closest taverna has delicious food. Agia Galini is a short drive away and offers all essentials should you need to shop, eat out, find an atm or go on a fishing boat trip. Thanks again for a fantastic stay! We will be back sooner than later!

We stayed for 1 week (4adults and 4 kids) having been to Crete a number of times before. The villa was up in the hills (you need to hire a car to get anywhere and driving on the small lanes is not for the faint hearted) but this gave us the beautiful views over the bay and a lovely sea breeze. The house was immaculate with all the essentials and mod cons including chilled filtered water from the fridge. The ice machine didn’t work so one of the team popped around with a big bag of ice the next day which we used instead. We also experienced a sandstorm (happens about once a year) with Saharan sand being deposited on everything. The cleaners were around the next morning and the pool was cleaned beautifully. The pool itself was heated to a lovely temperature so the kids could enjoy it all day and the hot tub was even warmer so the perfect place to sit and enjoy drinks. We used the outdoor built in barbecue and sat outside for dinners (great views). Karolina was very responsive! Recommend!

Can’t say enough positive things about Anna and Costa’s villa. We had an amazing stay. The villa was clean, spacious and in excellent condition - just like the photos. The pool was fab. Anna & Costa’s local recommendations were great. The whole family enjoyed the trip - thank you so much!

Could not recommend this place enough. Me and my 4 mates went to this villa. (5 lads, all 21 years old) it was amazing, Magdalena met us at the villa when we landed to talk us through all that we needed and show us around. It was huge, 5 bedrooms and plenty of things to do inside the house, multiple TVs, big kitchen with all the things you’d need, blenders, coffee machine, cutlery etc. The views from the villa were incredible as we were on top of a hill. The pool was the perfect temperature in the day and even at night it was never really cold like most pools. The gym is small but you can manage well if you know what you are doing. It has a good pool table, table tennis, loads of card games and a PS4. Whenever we needed any help Magdalena would always respond in minutes. The price is great for what you get it is the best I have found. It is only 15-20 minutes drive from the city of Heraklion where there is plenty to do such as food and drink. I’d also recommend renting a car.

Fabulous place to stay :)

This villa exceeded our expectations! Location, location! It is 3 minutes walk to the beach, 4 minutes walk to center of town where the restaurants, shops and tavernas are. The town is also beautiful and quaint. The villa itself is awesome. 4 suites with private baths. All balconies and pool deck overlook the water. And stairs are not an issue-there is an elevator! This is a gem! Highly recommend!

A fantastic house with wonderful sea views and all the comforts! Tastefully decorated with good quality both indoors and outdoors. Very private location without visibility. Lovely balcony with pool, parasols and outdoor furniture. We were personally received in the house at the appointed time and were given a tour of the house and all its features, as well as a basket of specialties from Crete. Walking distance about 5-10 minutes to Plakias with shops and restaurants. The only thing we wished for was a few more hooks to hang clothes on.

Very nice stay in this beautiful home. There were 9 of us and we had space for everyone. Valia with whom I spoke before our arrival was very responsive and made us very good recommendations for the transfer and car rental. Maria who welcomed us was absolutely charming and always answered our questions via SMS. To be recommended without hesitation.

We traveled with friends and babies (a total of 4 adults and 2 babies (8&10 months old)) to the villa to Savas & Maria and the villa was fantastically beautiful (even more beautiful than in the photos)! For our tour group, the villa was just perfect, we had our peace, could relax and the children had enough space to play on the giant terrace. Savas & Maria kindly provided everything necessary for our kids (crib, baby chairs, a small inflatable pool and plenty of toys). Cleanliness is very important in the villa, the villa was handed over to us in perfect condition! The villa was rounded off in the evening by the overwhelming sunsets! Savas & Maria were extremely communicative, gave us great recommendations and were always available! We would like to express our sincere thanks again for your warmth, hospitality and a fantastic stay! If we come back to Crete, we'll come back to you!

Wonderful villa, great location. Less than 5 mins walk to beach, note there are stairs down to the beach. Beds & umbrellas for hire, water sports & a great taverna. Village centre not much further with a few supermarkets & several great tavernas. We loved Captains House & Agkyra for the sea views. The area is incredibly peaceful, apparently there is an ordinance on sound, one rowdy villa party was stopped immediately. Suited us down to the ground. Village was super friendly & we felt right at home. The villa itself is beautiful & exactly as pictured. Ground floor bedroom & bathroom perfect for my 80 year old parents. Host responded immediately to any questions & kindly arranged immediate access after we had locked ourselves out. Recommend using the grocery delivery option, minimum spend EUR200 & a delivey fee. But we could have easily stocked the villa for 5 people & wish we had arranged this for our arrival. Trips - recommend Eva’s fishing trip & the Magic Train. Will be back!
