Our second stay, was lovely and warm as gets all day sun. The addition of an induction cook top was great. Love the location and views. You can’t beat a winter sunset in Otaki! Our first evening/next day was very windy and the windows got covered in salt spray but there is a hose on the deck so was easy to rinse the windows and have the beautiful view restored in no time.

Christine's place is amazing value for money and despite it's small appearance before we arrived was roomy and well furnished for the 5 of us (4 adults and 1 child). The attic room was cosy and we all sat together up there watching tv in the evenings and playing board games. In the day we expanded out onto the deck to enjoy the sunshine. There was a curtain downstairs that could be pulled across so that it created a hallway passage to the kitchen/bathroom as not to disturb whoever slept downstairs. Christine was great at communicating and checking we had everything we needed before and during our stay. There were some lovely touches with milk, homemade fig jam and honey plus bread in the freezer. The house is in a beautiful area and it was easy to explore the estuary and parks by foot from the house with a great fish and chip shop up the road. We will definitely come back to stay again! Modern, clean and comfortable. Lots of nice touches and freshly baked bread. Relaxing with lovely afternoon sun. Great hosts.

This is a great little unit with everything we needed during our stay. We loved the great views from the deck and the nice table and chairs to enjoy it from. Highly recommend staying here, heading to the beach for a swim and having the fish and chips. We'd definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

A good choice for a stopover. Well located near cafes and 24 hour service station. Linda was a friendly and welcoming host.

A beautiful home, stunning gardens, and I felt all the love and effort you've poured into this space with all the thoughtful and creative touches. The comfy bed and gorgeous bath were standouts for me. Thank you for your hospitality, as a solo traveler it was so nice to have my privacy and peace and quiet to relax while knowing you were nearby. Thank you - I'll be back for sure!

Kirsty and Bruce were lovely helpful hosts and their place is gorgeous, quiet and relaxing space, spotlessly clean. Beautiful non crowded beach a short walk away. Breakfast was all locally sourced or homegrown and was delicious. Would love to come back.
