We had a wonderful stay with the whole family, which made us feel very much at home. We enjoyed learning about the area and had many beautiful insights into the local tradition and Buddhism on the tour in Anuradhapura ! Gunarathna is a wonderful tour guide. The food was amazing - best coconut sambal ever ! There is not so much to do in the area, but there are bikes, so exploring the village is a great way of simply enjoying village life for a moment. Definitely go on the tour !! Thanks 🙏

Thank you for the great stay. We had a wonderful time at Chathurika. The accommodation has a fantastic location by the lake. We were able to observe a lot of birds and animals. The room was super clean & beautifully decorated. We felt very comfortable throughout the house and were able to relax very well. There are many attractions to explore nearby. The food was delicious & we had the best tuna on our trip. Big recommendation. The entire team was super friendly & helpful. We would love to come back again :-)

Outstanding experience: Anton welcomed us with freshly squeezed watermelon juice, our big suite was perfectly clean and very nicely decorated with his unique photos. The beds were super comfortable, the A/C was doing a good job to cool us down and the shower was working fine also. Anton even accompanied us to the poperty’s lake and helped me to spot some of Sri Lanka’s colorful birds. But the best was yet to come: The next day, Anton guided us on a private tour to Wilpattu NP that I will always remember. Thanks to his patience and passion for wildlife we saw a sloth bear, two leopards, one of them drinking from the lake for quite a long time, lots of colorful birds, monkeys and much more. Besides he provided the safari jeep with a very good driver and prepared delicious home cooked meals for very reasonable prices. We will never forget this wonderful experience and can only highly recommend him and his place!
