Really happy to have stayed at Catherine’s place. She runs the B&B together with her husband and they do an absolutely fantastic job! They are both very hospitable and make you feel right at home. Couldn’t have asked for more. The compound is secluded and therefore very quiet and peaceful. The room itself is super tidy and clean, with a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent! Would definitely stay again. Thank you Catherine and Pierre!

This place is a true gem. Abderrhman’s family welcomed us with warmth and kindness, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The house is a beautifully decorated Berber-style family home, and our room was both spacious and thoughtfully designed. Dinner was exceptional—a home-cooked meal clearly prepared with care and love, just like one would make for family. We also enjoyed a peaceful breakfast with the scent of neroli in the patio, adding to the calm and beauty of the setting. We hope to return one day and spend more time in this tranquil mountain retreat. This is more than just a place to stay—it’s a home shared by good people.

Absolutely loved this place! The people were kind, the food was great, the view was amazing, and the energy was impeccable. I would definitely stay here again. It was hard for us to find though, google maps was not accurate for us, but we got very close, and then were met and guided the rest of the way in. The dirt road was a little tough for the small car we had rented, but doable. It’s best to come during the daylight if possible. Worth it though!

A stay that far exceeded our expectations. We were lucky enough to stay in the large and very comfortable room that Abdelkader reserves for guests in the great earthen house he lives in in Tikirte, a village full of charm. But it was indeed Abdelkader above all but also Mama Fatima, Khadija and the other family members and neighbors we met who made this stay exceptional. We felt like we were part of the community. Abdelkader picked us up when we arrived, we enjoyed his talents as a cook, guide and many others that I'll let you discover. I can only guarantee that anyone looking to listen and discover can only be delighted with the welcome they will receive in Tikirte. In short, we only have one question now: when are we going back?
