Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Oudezijds Voorburgwal

It was the host's father who welcomed us in very good conditions and very early. Peter is proactive in communication, no problem. The accommodation is only 10 minutes' walk from the train station, and 5 minutes by bike. You can easily go to Amsterdam North if needed while being in the centre close to all the city's activities. The accommodation is large, spacious, almost a little empty in terms of decoration, and the bed is comfortable. I recommend it, it's really a very convenient place to stay in the heart of Amsterdam!

Fantastic, very clean and a stop away from centraal.

Joost and his wife are particularly welcoming. Their warm side helped make our stay familiar and friendly. Excellent bedding. Perfect cleanliness. The breakfast brought every morning with a smile was carefully prepared, good and hearty. This moment was an opportunity to chat a little with an open and caring couple. The apartment, easy to find - is extremely pleasant, well furnished, accessible and in a green and peaceful setting. The tram that takes us to the city centre and the Museum district is a 3-minute walk away and the trams are very frequent. Ronny and Wendy have a lovely apartment in an ideal location for exploring Amsterdam. On the edge of the main tourist zone, so it's reasonably quiet, but still close enough to walk to everything. Having the Rijksmuseum, Vondlepark and Albert Cuypstraat just a short walk away made for the perfect couple of days for my family. The apartment is not spacious, but it was well laid-out and beautifully appointed, making for a comfortable base for the 4 of us. I highly recommend it for a visit to Amsterdam.

Monica’s place is a fantastic location. It is in a quiet area but so close to the city action. It was very clean and had comfortable beds. They were very accommodating to our early arrival and said it was no problem to store our bags several hours prior to check in. Highly recommend and would stay there again.

Great walkable location from the train station and few restaurants.

Joost was an amazing host to me and my family! It was the first time that we were traveling abroad with our 11mo son and he made us feel right at home- even had a travel crib set up upon arrival. The location is very convenient - right above a coffee shop which Joost gives vouchers for :) very walkable and overall great space!

Ruben's sweet ground Level Flat was perfectly Situated for our 2 night stay in Amsterdam. Located literally around the corner from the Rijksmuseum and the major tram stops it was so easy to get around. The space is clean and bright. We really appreciated the quiet backyard Patio after a day of exploring Amsterdam. We would stay again.

A great place for a couple to stay in Amsterdam, great restaurants, lots of sights in walking distance and very close to the railway station. This made access from the airport on public transport very easy. The apartment is spacious, modern and very clean. The downstairs bedroom is very comfortable with an excellent en suite shower room and free from noise as it is below ground level. As advertised, it is accessed down a steep spiral staircase which was fine, but would be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. The kitchen has a fridge, and an espresso coffee machine which allowed us to make a simple continental breakfast. There are no facilities to cook food, but there are many excellent restaurants within yards, of the front door so treat yourself!! For those who like a Dutch dining experience, we would recommend Van Speyk which is next door ( where we went twice). Food, service and ambiance excellent both times. Thanks again Raul and Atilla for making our city break wonderful

Robbert’s place was great. Right in the middle of everything, but still private and quiet. Would definitely stay there again!!

The Airbnb was truly unique. We stayed at one of the beautiful, historic, dancing houses of Amsterdam. The place was clean and central to many places on our itinerary. Bathroom was quite spacious. Check-in was also a breeze. Would highly recommend!

Exactly as described, great place!

Arjen has quite the incredible apartment near the train station. Nice sized Duplex with outdoor deck off the bedrooms. It couldn't have been more comfortable, with great light, herbs and berries growing on the deck that he encouraged you to consume. It's convenient to almost everything. As others have said the stairs, at first seem daunting, but once you get used to it, it stops being a problem. Arjen was there too meet us when we arrived. He generously carried our bags up the stairs, acclimated us to the space and then took us on a tour of the neighborhood. He was there when we left to go to the airport at 6:30 am to carry our bags back down the steps. He's very charming and articulate. He was never intrusive but always responsive. He loves his city and is willing to share locals only things to do. Next time I come to Amsterdam I'll look to to stay here first.

This apartment was amazing for our quick trip to Amsterdam. The location is perfect—right on one of the main canals and walkable to everything. Helena was such a gracious host and gave us some great recs for vintage shopping, drinks, and eats. The space was well appointed and she was so flexible with our arrival and departure times. I would 100% recommend this place and would stay here again on a future visit.

My first visit with my daughter to Amsterdam. We had several activities planned and our location was perfect: Access to tram. Very walkable area. Restaurants, coffee shops, grocery markets. The suite was comfortable and large enough for two people. We enjoyed ourselves and no worries regarding the accommodations.

The Condominium is in a nice quiet part of Amsterdam, but still easy to get to city centre. Was very clean and comfortable.

We had a wonderful time at this beachfront home. The location is fantastic and the area offers many opportunities for recreation and exploration. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful – their tips for excursions and activities were very valuable. The apartment itself is very luxuriously furnished and equipped with everything you need. We felt completely comfortable and can absolutely recommend this place!

Perfectly located apartment from which you can enjoy a fantastic sunset in the evening. The beach bars are in the immediate vicinity. It is about 15 minutes on foot to the centre. A plus point is the parking space belonging to the apartment and located on the property. We can definitely recommend the stylishly furnished beach house.

This place was wonderful! It was just as described. We enjoyed listening to the birds (wild parakeets and others) as we sat on the balcony in the mornings. The stairs are steep and narrow but that is just part of being in Amsterdam. One thing to note, there are 2 showers, 2 sinks, but only 1 toilet. It didn’t cause any problem for me, but those staying in the first floor bedroom will have to climb up stairs in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend!

We enjoyed staying at Fleur’s apartment. It is very close to a tram stop which made it easy to get around, and it was well situated between the main areas of the city, making it a good base to explore from. The apartment was nice - it had everything we needed for a couple days in the city. The only thing to note is that the stairs within the apartment (from living area to bedroom) are narrow and steep, but this seems quite typical of stairs in this area- the same was true of stairs in restaurants in the area. Overall we had a great stay and I would stay there again!
