Waterfront holiday rentals in Ouder-Amstel

Our second time at Sebastian’s wonderful Airbnb. This location is perfect as it’s quiet and yet very near the busier sections of town. Sebastian is a terrific host and everything is as described. He is very friendly and makes sure all is well:-) You will not find a better property !

Laura and her husband Arjan were the perfect hosts! Arjan served us breakfast each morning which included a basket of fresh bread, fruits and cheese. Arjan provided us with great recommendations and most especially - showed us how to use the tram system! It is a lovely apartment and they made us feel very welcome.

Karin and Douwe are very accommodating hosts. They let us store our luggages in his home before and after checkin and checkout time. They are very responsive and always replied our messages immediately! The unit is in a quiet and convenient location, 10 minutes walk to the central station, about 30 minutes walk to museum district. The unit is very spacious too!

It was very, very nice at Miriam's. She was a great host and we'd love to come back

Fantastic apartment, really clean and comfortable in a great neighbourhood: peaceful but walking distance to everything you could need. Loes and Fokke are wonderful hosts, warm and helpful- we had a brilliant few days exploring the city from the perfect base.

The accommodation was as described and Karine allowed us to change the arrival time The apartment on the 1st is nice and a breakfast was ready in the fridge. A supermarket and transport are nearby Only downside: the sofa bed was broken, fortunately it was children who slept in it.

Kim is very responsive to any communications. Well equips home. Left some items by way of coffee etc to help when you first arrive.

“My stay at Evert’s place was 10/5 stars. The location is wonderful - right on the canal, down the street from a lovely cafe and flower shop and central to popular and nontouristy attractions alike. Evert is a wonderful and warm host who has meticulously curated a beautiful and homey flat. He provides extensive resources on the artistic hidden gems of Amsterdam within the flat’s book collection, which I found helpful and charming. The flat is on the second floor of the building owned by Evert and looks onto the canal. Evert welcomed me and showed me how to access the property so I could come and go as I pleased and had the independence and privacy that I desired. Would be a dream to stay here again.

We had wonderful days at Stéphanie's house. The location was nice and quiet, a playground at the door which was perfect with children, and yet we were quickly in town by bus or metro. For us, the perfect place to relax in the evening after a day of adventuring. The house is beautiful, light and confortable. Beds were very comfortable. Stéphanie was a very friendly and straightforward host. We felt very comfortable.

Simone is the best host we have ever encountered on any vacation. She made us feel at home and we were lucky to share her pup Mellow. We will miss them very much. Simone made us feel like family. Erna & Melinda 🧡

We had a very good time at Mike's place. The surroundings are very beautiful and the house is very enjoyable too. The weather was on our side so we were lucky enough to be able to enjoy the pool and to swim in the river Amstel and to use her pebble board too. Staying there with kids allowed them to use the trampoline daily and to play in the garden. There is nothing (town, shops) at walking distance so for that you need to take the car but the view and beautiful landscape you get just by looking outside the windows when you wake up is worthwhile!

Simone is very welcoming and smiling! We had a great time, very clean and functional accommodation. Close to the Ziggo Dome, perfect for going to a concert! 20 min walk to the train station and metro too. We recommend 100%!

This absolutely lovely house ticked every box possible for our family. We had come to the Netherlands to visit friends and family and we felt as though the house were our own for the week we were here. Roger was so accommodating at every stage of our vacation and we really appreciated everything about our stay. So sad to be leaving Ouderkerk but hoping to return again in the not too distant future. Thank you Roger and family for a wonderful week.

Our family enjoyed staying at Martijn’s home. The location was very convenient and check in was very smooth. Left lots of good info in check in packet and we loved the welcome goodies. Communication was very good and they even provided a hairdryer and toaster when we requested it. Thank you so much for everything!

My family and I stayed 15 days at Hester & Maarten's place and it was really nice. We traveled from Brazil and every day visited a new city in NE. All the most biltifull cities in NE was less than 50 min from the house. The rooms are confortable, and living room and kitchen are big and very sunny. My kid also enjoyed the backyard. The hosts are always availible to answer our questions by whastapp. We fell like at home. It was really gezellig. Thank you, Hester & Maarten

We stayed at Sharief’s house for three weeks and it was so magical! The neighborhood is peaceful and beautiful. We highly suggest this home!

This apartment was amazing for our quick trip to Amsterdam. The location is perfect—right on one of the main canals and walkable to everything. Helena was such a gracious host and gave us some great recs for vintage shopping, drinks, and eats. The space was well appointed and she was so flexible with our arrival and departure times. I would 100% recommend this place and would stay here again on a future visit.

The Condominium is in a nice quiet part of Amsterdam, but still easy to get to city centre. Was very clean and comfortable.

My family of four stayed at Max’s place for four nights. The location is great, with just about an hour’s drive to many popular destinations in Holland. The view of the lake from the balcony was beautiful. The apartment was clean and spacious. We truly enjoyed our stay in this quiet and peaceful neighborhood, and we will recommend it to our friends and family if they visit Holland in the future.

We had a great stay! Hugo was easy to contact, gave us many local recommendations, and easy to follow directions. The place was clean, had a great view, and is on a quiet street. Location was great, very walkable to all of the main tourist attractions. We were worried about not having a tv but didn’t miss it. Just a heads up to people in the U.S.-bring wash cloths to Europe. All 3 of the Airbnb’s that we stayed at did not provide them. I read that they consider it a personal item, like a toothbrush, and expect you to bring your own. Thank you Hugo!

This place was wonderful! It was just as described. We enjoyed listening to the birds (wild parakeets and others) as we sat on the balcony in the mornings. The stairs are steep and narrow but that is just part of being in Amsterdam. One thing to note, there are 2 showers, 2 sinks, but only 1 toilet. It didn’t cause any problem for me, but those staying in the first floor bedroom will have to climb up stairs in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend!

We enjoyed staying at Fleur’s apartment. It is very close to a tram stop which made it easy to get around, and it was well situated between the main areas of the city, making it a good base to explore from. The apartment was nice - it had everything we needed for a couple days in the city. The only thing to note is that the stairs within the apartment (from living area to bedroom) are narrow and steep, but this seems quite typical of stairs in this area- the same was true of stairs in restaurants in the area. Overall we had a great stay and I would stay there again!

Our stay with MorningStar in Amsterdam was absolutely exceptional. The home was pristine, beautifully designed, and full of luxurious touches that made our three-night stay unforgettable. We arrived to find thoughtful treats like fresh fruit and chocolate waiting for us—such a warm welcome! The location was perfect: central, quiet, and incredibly walkable, which made it easy for our family of four to explore the city. Every detail exceeded our expectations. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommend!

Great stay in a nice location next to the canal. Walking distance to all sights. Highly recommend both location and Jason as your host for an Amsterdam visit!
