Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Oshima District

Very friendly and responsive host, I stayed a couple nights and enjoyed having a kitchen as a vegetarian. It's cost friendly for a single person too, which was much appreciated. The unit is a studio with a kitchen, and a separate (shared) toilet and separate (shared) shower area. - Be warned, the shower room is dated and hasn't had a deep cleaning in a bit, but very functional. The local bathhouse will probably be more enjoyable, but I was lazy and used the shower during my stay. - The toilet looks newly renovated/constructed. - The studio is clean and well equipped. Beds are firm but you could probably double up on the mats to make it softer. The studio unit is pretty spacious too. There are also many experiences offered along with the stay (just book with the host), such as local cuisine cooking, martial arts, boating trips, driving drop offs, etc. They also have free bike rental, though I didn't use it.

Yui was an amazing host, had a great list of activities, and was so helpful in answering my many questions! The space is spacious, breathtaking, and in a great location, especially for a foreigner. It’s close to the airport, a bus stop that takes you to the airport, as well as a taxi stand. Will definitely come back.

We got the house to ourselves and it was lovely. The theater tatami room was our favourite :) Manager helped with renting the bikes which was great.

[Highly recommended for family stays!]The room was as pictured and very beautiful, especially since there were plenty of kitchen utensils, laundry facilities (washer and dryer, etc.), and ocean activities, so it was a very appreciated environment for a long stay for a month. Above all, I am really grateful to the host, Kawaguchi-san!Not only did they tell me a lot of recommended shops and spots, but they also gave me a lot of voices at local events and festivals, so I was able to experience a lot of life in Amami, not just sightseeing, and it was a very pleasant time. Also, because Kawaguchi's children and my daughter's age were close, and they were very friendly, my daughter seemed to enjoy her life in Amami very much, and I was very lonely on the last day. I will come and visit again!Thank you for a great experience.
