We were very doubtful about where to establish our residence, if by the Atlantic swells or rather by the coniferous forest on the skirts of Teide. Being fanatics of nature and sports, no matter if it's trekking, cycling, paragliding, golf or windsurfing we decided we would rather stick to the middle road, and in our search we bumped into San Miguel, a charming small town, away from the hustle and off the beaten track, still all amenities a short walk away. We surely found the perfect balance.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Santo Domingo, a neighborhood in the town of La Guancha, is totally quiet and safe. It's best to rent a car. Due to the terrain and the different bus connections, it is a bit complicated to get around by public transportation.
