You will be staying in a comfortable, fully furnished holiday home, the "Dashuis". The house is next to our own house and has its own entrance. You have your own, enclosed terrace with plenty of privacy. In the immediate vicinity, chances are you will encounter deer or a kingfisher. The location is in a natural environment with ample hiking and biking possibilities. Cities are easily accessible, Leeuwarden 30 min., Groningen 40 min. A direct bus to Heerenveen with, among other things, the Thialf ice stadium.

0.7 km from the village center. Bakkeveen is located on the border of the provinces of Groningen, Drenthe and Friesland. Bakkeveen is known to many for its beautiful forests, sandy plains, fens, dobben and heathlands. Characteristic is that there is nature reserve on almost all sides of the village. You can walk or cycle for hours here while the landscape around you is constantly changing. A beautiful area for hikers and cyclists. Especially in the summer months, there is a lot to do in Bakkeveen.

Gorredijk is a cozy village with about 7000 inhabitants. You can shop here, grab a cozy terrace or go cycling in the area.
