The cabin is idyllically located with panoramic views of the beautiful village of Førde, the fjord and even a lot longer. Even though the cabin lies by itself practically on a pile, lay it on a farmer's yard, cows sheep and lambs in the vicinity. The cabin has character, is more than 100 years old and has between anna a large, printed Viking ship model hanging on the ceiling. The entire cabin was restored a few years ago and then got modern equipment such as a new bathroom with heating cables and new kitchen with all necessary equipment.

The appartment is located a 5min drive from Etne centrum where there are shops. Its about 10 min drive to the town Ølen. The city Haugesund is about a hour away from Etne. We are welcoming you to enjoy the beautiful Nature of Norway!

It is situated close to beautiful beaches, family-friendly activities such as swimming, beach volleyball, fishing, and not least fantastic hiking opportunities in the fields and mountains. We have kayaks that can be borrowed for free. Hammock and fire pit. It is close to public transportation and a store. The climbing park "Høyt og lavt" is a 5 min drive by car or bus. The micro house is located in peaceful and scenic surroundings in Solbakken- tunet på Os. Above the house is Galleri Solbakkestova with its associated sculpture garden that is always open to the public. Around the house, goats graze, and you overlook some free range hens, and some alpacas across the road. The house has terraces on both sides, where it is wonderful to sit to take in the surroundings and feel the calm. There are also great hiking trails close by.

Furthermore, the quiet surroundings make it magical when you take a bath in the jacuzzi while watching the sunset. We highly recommend a hike to Himakånå. It is also possible to take a day trip to the Pulpit Rock.

Ølen is a good starting point for day trips to nearby tourist attractions, like Folgefonna glacier, Trolltunga in Odda, Langfoss & Låtefoss waterfall, Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) or excellent skiing options! The house owners are very helpful in planning your trips.
