  • Wandering Wicklow with Friendly Donkeys
There is something special about donkeys! How could you not love those long fluffy ears, gentle eyes, shaggy coat and cheeky character? Come and enjoy an unforgettable donkey experience in the peaceful setting of our family farm in Wicklow. You will be warmly greeted when you arrive and we will show you around our yard and briefly talk you through the experience to make sure you feel confident and comfortable with our long eared pals. We will share some insider tips and tricks about how to look after, halter, feed and groom donkeys and then you get to try it all for yourself. During the time spent grooming and brushing your donkey, you will get to know each other a little and slowly build trust and a friendly bond. They are very social animals who love cuddles and a good massage with a brush. Then off we go for our tour! The walk is fairly easy with a mixture of road and forest path and we take our time and never rush anyone. There is lots of time for hugs, kisses, selfies and photos with the donkeys and some beautiful views to enjoy too. When we return to the farm you can bring your donkey back to his paddock and meet all his friends! Feel free to stay as long as you like to get to know them all :) Our donkeys are naturally curious so they will want to get to know you. Nothing is compulsory, you can be involved in as much or as little of the experience as you would like.

  • The Other Crowd Investigators
We start with investigating Earth energies bubbling up from the region. A small ritual intended to impart the gift of Clear Sight is performed and then we begin our ascent. Along the way, we train our eyes to see symbols hidden in plain sight. Then we examine certain protective amulets and charms and learn how to perform a protective circle. Afterward we will go on a forested mountain walk punctuated by creative exercises that will help you write poetry and draw from your mind’s eye, lost and ancient meditative techniques, and local folklore, which includes tales of satanists, smugglers, ghosts, aliens, strange geological features and of course the Other Crowd.

  • Sunset Mountain Bike into Night Ride
This experience is truly unique, all weather and fun! I will collect you from pickup location in the evening, with coffees in hand we will drive for about 30 to 40 mins into the Dublin/Wicklow Mountains. First when we get to the location you will be able to see the entire city lit up. Worth taking some pictures and videos of the city from above. As we get on the bikes wrapped up warm (waterproofs included!) and cycling up the hill we will go over some basics of mountain biking and talk about fitness and how to cycle at night. At the top of the climb the views become even more stunning, sometimes if the moon is full its almost like a spiritual experience guys, when your in the mountain at night and the silence and depth of the forest really does wash away any stress, negative energy and just beams connection with nature. We will start with a relatively easy cycle up hill, which we can walk, depending on your fitness level. Then into our first single track decent. It is genuinely amazing to be in the forest at night with lights going through the designated trails, it focuses your mind on that one experience only. After the first descent we will then gauge your comfort levels and discuss the trails we will cycle next. Stopping for regular breaks and some snacks/water as needed. When finished I like to take my new friends to a local bar for a hot brew

  • The Dublin Mountains Tombs and Trails
Take local bus through the backroads of the Dublin foothills to a remote mountain village. Following a meandering mountain path, visit an ancient burial "wedge" tomb from the second millennium B.C., nestled in a forest. Continuing along the Dublin Mountains Way, arrive at a popular vantage point and take in the panoramic views over Dublin and the bay area, perched on a mountain top rock. Depending in the season, pause to pick some delicious wild add to cream or ice-cream later, or just eat as is! Continuing along a ridge, with views of Dublin to the north, and Wicklow to the south, arrive at a second burial tomb, this time an ancient stone circle and burial pace of the man for whom the mountain top upon which it sits is named. After a leisurely wander down a meandering path through an evergreen forest, followed by a rural backroad, arrive at a quaint, rustic, cafe and restaurant to enjoy a well earned lunch made of local produce and cuisine. An Alternative bus returns back to the finish point via a different but equally enchanting route. IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT TAKING PUBLIC TRANSPORT AT THIS TIME, AN ALTERNATIVE BUT SIMILAR HIKE WHERE YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN PRIVATE TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS TO THE START AND FINISH POINT CAN BE FACILITATED. JUST MESSAGE ME WITH YOUR ENQUIRY SO WE CAN ARRANGE Other things to note Guests must have a reasonable level of fitness, no adverse health conditions, and be able to walk 12km (7.5 miles) on gently sloping ground.
