The surrounding area offers great hiking experiences with the sea and mountains in the immediate vicinity, as well as a short drive to the nearest town. Welcome to our cabin at Smines in Vesterålen! Only 25 minutes away from Sortland and 15 minutes to the nearest grocery store in Eidfjord. Idyllic sheltered seaside cabin with its own floating dock and rowing boat. All of the fishing gear and life jacket are on site! Boat will not be available from October-April! Enjoy the beautiful nature Vesterålen has to offer with hiking opportunities in the area, and dancing northern lights in autumn/winter. Keep an eye out for the wild animals that roam around, such as moose, otters, eagles, nase and puffins!

In the fjord outside the house there are opportunities for good fishing from the jetty. The house is located close to the popular tourist destination Dronningruta and the fishing village Nyksund. It is also a good location as a base for exploring both Lofoten, Bø, Hadsel and Andøya.
