HANATSU: Stylish, Comfortable Gateway to Naoshima

Hanatsu means 'let go'. We designed this place so you can relax and let go in the busy-ness of travel through the ideal of "shibui" (subdued and simple). Here we are proud to offer the feeling of Japan in a comfortable private whole house; the beauty of tatami, earthen walls, sliding doors, tile and washi (Japanese paper). The Uno port ferry is 3 min by nearby train (14 by EA bike) so we serve as an ideal gateway to the Inland Sea islands, including of course Naoshima, Teshima and Inujima.

小豆島町の静かな海辺に建つ一軒家です。 海と夕陽を眺めて黄昏れる為だけに建てた家です。その為テラスの階段の段数が多く大変申し訳ございませんが決してバリアフリーとは呼べません。（荷物のお手伝い等出来るだけのことは対応させていただきます） ですが、高いテラスを登った先には瀬戸内のキラキラ輝く穏やかできれいな海と毎日顔を変える茜色の夕空が待っています。 是非、時間を忘れ非日常をご堪能ください。 ※現在ペットのご宿泊をストップさせていただいております。 ご希望の方はご予約前にお問い合わせ下さい。 室内にはテラスの階段を登って入ります。バリアフリーではありません。 小さなお子様か階段を登り降りする際は必ず大人の方がお付き添いください。 また、雨の日は階段が多い為ご不便をかけるかもしれません。 宿前の道路は舗装されていません。 ご不便をかけるかもしれませんが、ご了承下さい。 宿の周りは自然が多いため、どうしても虫がでます。窓や扉の開閉時に虫が一緒に入ることがあります。（特に夜は宿の明かりに虫が集まります）大変申し訳ございませんが、虫が苦手な方は宿泊をご遠慮ください。

【Teshima’s Ocean View Retreat Tokuto】King Villa

Tokuto is a newly renovated private mansion built in the 1940s on Teshima. It is conveniently located about 15mins walk from Ieura Port. Enjoy the luxurious architecture of the past, such as the authentic hand blown window glass, Onigawara (Japanese gargoyle roof tiles), and the beautiful gardens with an abundance of stone lanterns. The building consists of 2 villas, King Villa & Queen Villa. As a measure against infectious diseases, we accept one group for each building.

It’s located in a village called Karato Oka. You’ll find the Teshima Museum and rice terraces within a short walking. The guesthouse is a Japanese wooden house with only one room, so you can use privately. The room on the second floor has a slightly lower ceiling, giving it a cozy cabin or tea room feel. OHANA is a private seaside cottage on Naoshima, known as a sacred place of contemporary art. There are two cottages, sea side and mountain side; Lani is the mountain-side cottage. Free parking is available on site. The cottage accommodates 6–8 guests and includes a kitchen and washing machine. It is a 3-minute walk to the Yellow Pumpkin and 2 minutes to the bus stop. Japanese Potter's Guesthouse - Wasyugama Kiln Stay

Welcome to Wasyugama, a traditional Bizen pottery kiln guesthouse in the peaceful hills near Kurashiki, Okayama. Stay beside an active pottery workshop and experience the quiet charm of rural Japan. Most guests stay 2–3 nights, but longer stays are warmly welcomed. The house, hand-built with natural wood by my father and me, is a private rental with kitchen, bath, and beds for up to 5 guests. Pottery experience available (booking required).
