The standout feature of this accommodation is its one-of-a-kind ‘egg sauna’. This is a fully DIY sauna, developed entirely by JP from design to production, featuring a unique shape that allows heat to circulate naturally.Enjoy a sauna experience you can’t get anywhere else, while being enveloped by the gentle warmth of the wood-burning stove. Inside the room, there is also a traditional Japanese irori (hearth) typical of old Japanese houses. You can experience traditional Japanese living, such as sharing a hotpot around the irori (traditional hearth) or grilling skewers. *Please bring your own cooking utensils, such as ingredients and skewers. The accommodation is located in a quiet hamlet called ‘Kobo’, nestled among the mountains in Misasaki, Okayama Prefecture. You can rent a small old house and a large Japanese garden, limited to one group per day. Spend your days like a local at this place, which is close to the Seto Inland Sea. We have 2 electric bicycles and 5 bicycles available. They are available for free to guests. You can also take your bike on the ferry to Naoshima and Teshima. Insects may enter the house depending on the season, as the garden is close to the old house. We are taking measures, but please refrain from booking if you are not good with insects. When you come by car, we ask you to check in by yourself. When you come by train or bus, we can pick you up and drop you off at Uno Station. There is another traditional house nearby. Relax in a small port town. We renovated a traditional house that is about 70 years old. Relax in a small house in a port town. Because it is an old house, there are steep stairs (with handrails) and steps. We appreciate your understanding and caution if you have small children or have difficulty walking. In the dining room with an island kitchen, you can enjoy music with high-quality speakers. Enjoy the scent and feel of the rare pine flooring. For the bedroom area, we have thick futons instead of beds, also with small children in mind. In addition, the futon area is slightly elevated with tatami mats. OHANA is a private seaside cottage on Naoshima, known as a sacred place of contemporary art. There are two cottages, sea side and mountain side; Lani is the mountain-side cottage. Free parking is available on site. The cottage accommodates 6–8 guests and includes a kitchen and washing machine. It is a 3-minute walk to the Yellow Pumpkin and 2 minutes to the bus stop.
