Beachfront holiday rental in Oak Bluffs

We would definitely recommend Deb’s and Sharon’s cottage as a place to stay. The location is great, as it is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and the water, but is tucked away in a quiet little neighborhood so it still also offers plenty of privacy. They were wonderful and responsive hosts and checked on us throughout our stay, though we didn’t end up needing a thing. They were gracious enough to allow our dog Bella join for the weekend too, which we appreciated very much as she goes everywhere with us. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely look to book again if we make our way back to the beautiful island!

The stay was absolutely delightful. It was the best vacation I've had with my three boys. The house gave us the space we needed and was absolutely lovely. We look forward to returning.

The house was ideal for a wonderful girls weekend. The space lends itself well to relaxing and connecting. The beach was just a short walk away. Everything was perfect!

We stayed at Lisa’s place for three nights and it was a 10/10 experience. Lisa was a fantastic host and was very helpful with island recommendations prior to our trip. The property itself is stunning and although we wanted to explore the island, the property also provided a beautiful landscape to just relax. Even given its private, peaceful location, it was still so convenient to town. The house is an adorable converted barn that has incredible, rustic charm and the decor was so beautifully thought out. Before we even left we were talking about booking again in the future. We definitely recommend booking here!

We really enjoyed our stay with our family, the house was a very easy walk to the beach area where the kids found many treasures and a nice area with just sand great for kids. It had lots of rocks, shells and seaweed and goose poop getting to the water so water shoes or sneakers are a must going in the water. The house was nice with good size rooms , the living room could use another chair or bigger couch , the dinning area had plenty of room and the kitchen was adequate and we had great dinners together there. The outside area was so nice, we played baseball, had a fire with s’mores and adult beverages after the little ones were asleep. There was only a small air conditioner in the dinning room and up stairs bed rooms but it kept the house comfortable for the temps we had, maybe and A/C in each bedroom would be a nice added touch. Overall it was a great week and the people who we talked to on the way to the beach were very nice as well. Thank you Krista and family.

This property is a beautiful mix of old and new. The original structure is over 100 years old. The bedrooms retain much of the original character while the kitchen and upstairs bath have been very nicely updated. We found the beds to be comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials and more. The location is quiet. The association beach is a short walk and is clean with easy swimming as the bay side water is usually calm. It is a beautiful area for paddling with generally quiet water. There are numerous options within 10-15 minutes for restaurants or shopping. We very much enjoyed the stay with plans to return. Chuck was very responsive to any questions or concerns; great host.

LOVE Billy’s house!! So cute and comfy! We didn’t sleep in the twin beds, but the master bedroom was very comfortable! The doggies loved the bed too!! The patio was great, we used the grill and fireplace! Loved the fenced in yard for the dogs! The neighborhood was very quiet. Billy always responded quickly with any questions. Great restaurants a short drive away and plenty of parking (it’s still off season for the Cape). Billy left a bottle of wine for us from a local winery (Cape Cod Winery). It was good and we went to the winery. Good wine, great outdoor seating (and has covered areas if it’s raining). It’s also dog friendly and they serve food, which was tasty! We went to see Nobska Lighthouse (inside was closed), which was about a 13 minute drive. The views were fabulous! We also went to a small aquarium (only open during the week) in Woods Hole - another short drive. The aquarium was free, but keep in mind, it is small, but nice. Would definitely stay here again!

Our family stayed at Madi's place for our summer vacation. Madi was very responsive and communicative prior to our stay with local recommendations and instructions for the home and beach passes. Our family of 5 was comfortable and we had a wonderful time on MV. Would definitely return to Madi's place.

We loved are family stay at Paul & Katie’s home for Easter Week. It is a dream home . The neighborhood was beautiful and walkable, with a peaceful path to a private beach. We enjoyed the shops and restaurants in Mashpee Commons about an 8 minute drive away.

Had a great time. Enjoyed cooking out on the grounds….would like to visit again.

Me and my family spent the weekend at Poseidon’s Palace and it was a great time. Upon check-in, Alex was very communicative and was able to answer any questions I had. The house was very clean - fresh linens, towels, and wonderful kitchen fully equipped for the whole family. We were very comfortable. The house had lots of room for everyone, with lots to do for all ages. We traveled with 3 kids ages 10 months - 6 years old, and it was so nice to have comfortable rooms for everyone. Of course, the pool was the main attraction of the house. The sauna was definitely an added bonus. Not to mention the incredible beach view. Overall, it was a wonderful house perfect for a staycation with lots of great food options nearby. We loved it! The only thing I’d mention is that the pool area and pool temp were a little cold for some of us - it would have been nice for that area to be a little warmer. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful house with a great host - thanks Alex!

Had a lovely stay here! It’s a really beautiful, charming location close to lots of great shops and restaurants.

The star of the show was the view from the main door. Looking out over the inviting porch to the beautiful water vista never lost its appeal. The bungalow is very comfortable and having two bathrooms is a real plus. It is important to know that the approach to the house is down a grassy path and if you have trouble navigating that type of terrain then you should be aware of that. Usually when the vacation is over, we feel ready to go home- not this time. We highly recommend this stay. You will fall in love.

Absolutely loved Elisa’s house in Vineyard Haven. We went for my 30th birthday weekend with some friends and we legitimately could not have had a better time. The house is phenomenal and couldn’t be in a better location. The kitchen is modern, the rooms are spacious, the backyard is perfect for hanging out. The three season room was an awesome place to hang out. I have so so many nice things to say about this house and Elisa’s hospitality. I can’t wait to come back & could not recommend more!

Jacqueline was a wonderful host! Super responsive, helpful and accommodating - she truly thought of every detail one may find useful when staying away from home. Place was clean and tidy, and she had lots of extra things for our kids to play with while at the beach. The beach itself was right down the street, and it even had a little playground for the younger kiddos to play in. Plenty to do in the surrounding area so long as you're driving, we especially enjoyed visiting some local trails and how close the house was to the ferries. All in all, a truly great stay!

This is an absolutely beautiful rental and location. Cleanest, most pristine location we have been to. Appliances and bathrooms are glimmering. Host is immediately responsive and kind. 10 out of 10 in all respects.

We had a great stay at Lisa's. Even in the winter, the view of the lake is precious. We used the house as a base to do things in the area which was perfect. The living area is spacious, cozy and very comfortable to hang out in. The house was clean and well organized. We found everything we needed including a well stocked kitchen. Lisa is an excellent communicator, very helpful and makes herself available should you need anything. We had a minor issue with heat in one room, and Lisa went out of her way to help. We highly recommend this house and host!

Our second visit. We love the place. Quiet but close to great beaches and the Popponesset Marketplace is 2 minutes walk away, with fish restaurants and small stores with necessities (including wine and beer!). A highlight of this visit was sitting on the patio in the morning and 3 times seeing an osprey dive to the pond and catch a fish.

Gorgeous property with its own private beach! The host was extremely responsive throughout our stay. The house is close to restaurants, shops and grocery stores / local markets. We had our dog with us and she loved going for walks and playing on the private beach. It’s also a short drive to South Cape Beach, which is gorgeous — amazing sunsets and trails to explore. We love Cape Cod and this winter trip did not disappoint!
