The exclusive saltwater infinity pool with whirlpool is surrounded by the greenery of the Mediterranean maquis. This oasis of privacy and relaxation has everything you need, including a solarium area, an outdoor shower, and a bathroom. The depth of the pool water meets the legal requirements to ensure maximum safety even for the little ones. Snuggle up by the wood-burning fireplace in this cosy 'cottage/chalet style' sanctuary nestled within a peaceful walled oasis, just a few minutes from Lancaster town centre. It's remarkably light and airy inside, thanks to white paneling and skylights. Help yourself to a nice glass of bubbles and take in the spectacular close up views of Lancaster Castle from the window seat, whilst you plan your days ahead. Draw a hot bath in a copper tub big enough for 2 (with Castle View's very own homemade lavender bubble bath) before climbing in to the exceptionally comfortable 'secret bedroom'. Quaint on the outside. Quirky on the inside. Inside Castle View, the secret bedroom and bathroom are a real surprise and simply luxurious! Everything is kitted out with your complete comfort in mind. A giant copper bath for 2 people, a king size natural mattress with 400 thread count Egyptian cotton bed linen, Smeg fridge/freezer and a giant 'Loaf' sofa to sink into in front of the wood burner. The flat screen TV can be positioned to watch from the living room, 'secret' bedroom or bathroom. Insulation and remote control blackout blinds throughout the property ensure a peaceful nights sleep. The property is detached from our home and has it's own parking space. Whether you want a romantic retreat or a comfortable base to explore the North West - the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales & Manchester Airport are all about an hour away. Parking space a few strides from the cottage. Getting around could not be easier! The property has it's own parking space. The train station really is 2 minutes walk away from the property gates. Simply wheel your case straight up from the platform. No need for a taxi! By train, Manchester airport is a direct 1 hour 15 train journey away. Oxenholme (The Lake District) 12 mins. Delightful seaside towns such as Silverdale and Arnside 15/20 mins away. Yorkshire Dales 30 minutes. Morecambe 10 minutes. There are frequent direct trains to Edinburgh and London that take just under 2.5 hours. There are cycle tracks on our doorstep to picturesque riverside locations and seaside villages and towns. We are less than 10 minutes walk away to the bus station. Children aged 8 years and upwards are welcome. Feel free to bring your own dry logs and kindling - or buy a basket from us for £10. Oak Framed Home with Countryside Views & Hot Tub

Get back in touch with nature at this luxury cabin nestled in a quiet hamlet. Find tranquility on the terrace surrounded by breathtaking views, or lounge amid thoughtful decor and chic modern finishes in the exposed oak beam interior. Blue Vale is brand new as of June 2018! We helped to design this green oak framed building and have been involved in the whole process of building it, doing much of it ourselves. For our colour scheme we have used different shades of blue throughout, playing on the name of Blue Vale. The furnishing and finishing touches are of a high standard to help promote a comfortable and luxurious finish. There is an eclectic style combining modern country with industrial finishes. Luxury, high thread cotton bedding and towels, large flat screen smart tv's and luxury Neals Yard toiletries help to give the top-end finishing touches we would appreciate if we stayed away from home. Blue Vale is completely self contained but sits in the grounds of our family home. The decked outdoor living space is screened by trellis on the garden side with fields on the other. You would be very welcome to walk around our garden. We can be as interactive as you wish. With living in the same grounds we are close at hand if needed. We will welcome you when you arrive but will be respectful of your privacy. The glorious Blackmore Vale landscape is a tapestry of farmed green fields with a sprinkling of English villages, of which Sandley is one. Walk out (or cycle, using our available bikes) onto country lanes and venture along a web of footpaths to discover this unspoilt part of Dorset. Visit Stourhead, stroll around the ancient towns of Sherborne or Shaftesbury or discover the beautiful Jurassic coast. Visit Longleat safari park, Haynes Motor Museum, Monkey world & Yeovilton Air Museum. Sandley is a quiet hamlet with the neighbouring village of Buckhorn Weston just a mile away. The Stapleton Arms pub can be found here. We are 10 minutes away from the towns of Gillingham and Wincanton where various supermarkets, shops and services are. There is a train station in Gillingham which has a direct route to London in less than 2 hours. The larger cities of Bath and Salisbury are less than an hours drive and it takes around an hour to drive to the beautiful Jurassic coastline. The historic towns of Shaftesbury and Sherborne are only 15 and 20 minutes away respectively. The quiet rural roads and bridleways of the Blackmore Vale are excellent for cycling and walking. Blue Vale is in the grounds of our family home. There is a one- bedroomed B&B facility on the ground floor of our home.

Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.
