We had an absolutely amazing stay! From the moment we arrived, Amarentia was incredibly warm, welcoming, and thoughtful — their hospitality really made a difference and added a personal touch to our trip. The town is a small, peaceful gem, perfect for unwinding and taking a break from the fast pace of the CBD. There’s something so refreshing about the slower rhythm and friendly local atmosphere. One of the highlights was definitely waking up to the stunning ocean view each morning — it was so calming and beautiful. We truly felt relaxed and recharged. Would definitely love to come back again!

I usually take the traditional route between Cape Town and Johannesburg, stopping in Colesberg or Richmond. This time, I explored a new path and discovered Nieu-Bethesda—a hidden gem. The town’s gravel roads, fantastic restaurants, free-roaming horses, and the sound of owls at night created a magical atmosphere, especially while enjoying incredible lamb dishes. The highlight was my stay at Ludolf and Carla’s Airbnb. Their beautifully restored, pet-friendly home is tastefully decorated and equipped with every comfort. Thoughtful touches—welcome sherry, luxurious bedding, Africalogic amenities, homemade rusks, and fresh milk—made me feel truly pampered. Their property also features a stunning underground cellar for special events. Ludolf and Carla provided excellent communication and a detailed town map. Their hospitality, combined with Nieu-Bethesda’s charm, made this an unforgettable experience. I’m officially a fan and will definitely be back!

Sophie was so lovely and so thoughtful. We didn’t have any food and she brought us food from her own kitchen even after we insisted we were fine, which we weren’t. The stay was so lovely the apartment was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Fantastically convenient place to stay en route to Kagalagadi. Everything is brand new and fresh with all the amenities you could imagine. Private and secure, with gated parking right in front. The farm and surroundings are stunning too.

A house with so much character, filled with personal objects and lovely books. We had some chilly days and enjoyed the fireplace and the super cosy living room. Also the outside fireplace and oven are incredible. A place with a soul.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Whale Watch Cottage.The house has a great location,only a few steps from the beach,and there are breathtaking views from the massive picture windows in the house.The house was well-equipped and impeccably clean.

A well designed home and garden that work in all weather. Breathtaking views from both floors of the house. Both the lower and upper decks lend themselves to outdoor enjoyment. Exceptionally well equipped. The house is situated as close to the beach and surf break as is possible in Eland’s. The easy access makes frequent trips to the beach a pleasure. Generous off road parking. Quiet and secure. Lots of fridge and freezer space which makes longer stays easy to cater for. Beautiful, private, modern yet homely getaway.

The cottage is amazing. The large table in the yard is right facing the street. All the four rooms are independent and the entire cottage is the first house on the street next to the beach, making it relatively lively and a bit noisy. The soundproofing of the rooms is relatively poor. Overall, we were happy with the stay.

Our stay at this incredible oceanfront Airbnb was absolutely unforgettable. The location is unbeatable — right on the water, with breathtaking views and the soothing sound of waves day and night. The space was spotless, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Mariette was the most amazing and welcoming host; she made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Her warmth and attention to detail truly set this experience apart. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay and are already planning our next visit. Highly, highly recommended!

Great Place to stay if you are on the road, or in Town for business.

What a lovely farm stay, private, cosy and surrounded by a beautiful view. Amazing pool area within a peaceful patch of garden with very musical trees full of bird life! Our toddler loved running around on the green lawn under the shady trees. Great, friendly and accommodating hosts. A must stay if you in the area.

Wonderful place to stay! Dennis was friendly and very helpful. He ensured the aircon was turned on before we arrived (on a very hot day) and it was very easy to communicate with him. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at this great house. We were a family with 2 young kids and it worked perfectly for us. It’s an easy walk to lovely restaurant and had a gorgeous beach a minutes walk away. Annora was super welcoming and has a great booklet of recommendations. A great place to enjoy Paternoster from.
