Hotel holiday rentals in Northern Cape

Stayed over in Beaufort West to visit the Karoo National Park. This guest house is fantastic. A little oasis in an otherwise hot, dry town 😄. Room was super cool from the aircon when we arrived. Very clean and comfortable room. We lazed around the pool watching the bird life, being served G&T. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Dinner was lovely (maybe just a teeny bit expensive). Seems to be a very popular stopover for travellers en-route JHB or CT and I can see why. Highly recommended

Was warmly welcomed. What stood out for me was my room was also cooled down for me before arrival, well done!! Room was spacious, clean and its very peaceful there. Would definately come again!

Awesome little oasis after a long day on the road!

I can highly recommend Matoppo Inn as a stopover in Beaufort West - lovely old, but well kept Inn, with beautiful old furnishings to go with the well preserved building. Wonderful friendly staff that maintain the rooms and gardens well and offer delicious homemade meals, with a Karoo influence

It was a bit complicated to gain access to the property but we eventually managed. Lovely room. Clean and comfortable. It is on a busy road so a bit noisy at night. Thoroughly enjoyed the massage chair. Hated the silly bedside table. All the space was taken up with the light. No space for glasses or phone.

A hidden gem in the middle of the Karoo

Little oasis in the middle of nowhere. Little piece of heaven. Beautiful on the farm. Pity we could not stay a while longer. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Erika as well as her husband were professional and very friendly. We felt at home and so loved the home cook supper. No restaurant could dish up that quality of food. Superb! My 10 year old son loved meaning the little lambs on the farm.

We’ve stayed in 6 other accommodations over the past weeks and this one was the best, especially the shower🤪The view was amazing and there are multiple swimming pools. The hosts (and their dog😉) were really friendly and we had an amazing braai dinner, with fair prices, at their restaurant. Lovely atmosphere. Perfect stop when you travel from North to South or the other way around.

It is a wonderful stayover with a grand view of the Gariep Dam. Staying here allows you to refresh on a long journey, take in some incredible views of the Gariep Dam, and experience a little history of South Africa. You have several ways to relax with amenities on-site, like the pool, hot tub, and restaurant.

We loved staying here and will definitely be back.

Very clean and comfortable. Indoor pool was welcome after a long day on the road. Great view of the dam. Great place to stay on the way to or from the Eastern or Western Cape.

Erika and her husband Hank was great. They make a great team. very nice farm-stay. absoluty GREAT food and drink offered . we stayed in the Nguni room that went out to a lovely private yard with green grass. well worth it. thanks Erika.

The view is just breathtaking! Moreover we had dinner at the owners wonderful restaurant. We got some nice meet, great salads and the best self-made chips that we ever had. Thank you for the stay! 🥰

Beautiful overnight after a long day on the road. Louise was very accommodating on the late arrival. Wished we had more time to enjoy the views, as we had to hit the road early the next morning again.
