Kid-friendly holiday rentals in North Sea

Quiet, private place on the lake. The weather did not allow for a swimming pool. Spacious loft for 8 people. But without a car, logistics will be difficult. The owner and staff are very friendly, and quickly solve emerging needs while staying.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Mädelsurlaub in dem Haus. Die Nähe zu Amsterdam war uns wichtig und im Nachhinein hätten wir gerne noch viel mehr Zeit am Haus verbracht. Es war wunderschön mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und der Garten ist im Sommer ein Traum!

Mein Mann, unser fast dreijähriger Sohn und ich hatten eine tolle Woche in diesem wunderschönen, gemütlichen Haus. Die liebevolle und umfangreiche Einrichtung wurde für uns durch die Spielsachen und Ausstattung für Kinder (Rausfallschutz am Bett, Babyphone, Wickelkommode, Windeleimer etc) perfekt. Zwei Minuten entfernt liegen mehrere öffentliche Spielplätze, die für jedes Alter geeignete Abwechslung bieten. Für unsere Familie perfekt 🥰abgerundet wurde unser Aufenthalt von der freundlichen Begrüßung von Geert, der jederzeit erreichbar und hilfsbereit war. Vielen Dank für diese tolle Woche! 🍀

What a gorgeous, well appointed house. There was a supermarket nearby and bus stop to get into the centre of Haarlem which was beautiful and very interesting with so many things to see and do. Hosts were very welcoming, wine, waffles and chocolate on arrival! Wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you for a wonderful weekend break.

Wir haben einen schönen Familien Urlaub in Wyik aan Zee gehabt. Schöner Strand zum spazieren gehen. Ein Ausflug nach Haarlem und Amsterdam standen auch auf dem Programm. Sehr zu empfehlen. Alles in allem wir kommen gerne wieder.

The Matthieu home was perfect for our group of 6. We each had private space while still enjoying meals and relaxing together. The home is exquisitely designed and decorated - minimalistic at its finest. The blue stone on the outside of the home came from our family quarry which was fun to see. We brought our staff to Europe as one last hurrah before retiring at the end of the month. The trip was for them but we enjoyed watching Belgium through their wide eyes. This is the perfect home for a larger group!

This was a perfect place to stay for our family with 3 children. The private (massive) garden was exactly what we needed to ensure our kids could still play without having to be too quiet, such as it is in most apartments. There were plenty of toys and a playground as a bonus. The host was wonderful and friendly, always checking on our needs and responding to our requests. One minor issue is that the kitchen doesn't have hot water so you need to get warm water from the bathroom for doing dishes. For staying in the summer, this place is ideal and we'd happily go back!

Excellent location, close to the city centre, it was easy to walk home from everywhere. Nice apartment, very approacheable owner. Instructions were communicated in a timely fashion. Was very easy to get into the property. Can’t wait to come again.

We had a wonderful stay in Brussels from April 18 to 21 with our little one, and this apartment was absolutely perfect for us. It’s clean, cozy, and very well-located — close to public transport, shops, and cafes, yet quiet and peaceful. The apartment had everything we needed, and it was very comfortable for staying with a small child. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches and the warm welcome from our hosts — they were kind, responsive, and made us feel at home.

Es ist immer wieder schön dort an zu kommen. Die Kinder fühlen sich sofort wohl und fangen an zu spielen. Es fehlt absolut nichts und bei Fragen ist Andrea immer sofort erreichbar!

Diese Ferienwohnung ist absolut weiterzuempfehlen! Sie sieht genauso aus wie auf den angegebenen Bildern und enthält alles was man für einen gelungenen Aufenthalt benötigt. Man kann direkt vor dem Haus parken und es gibt einen schönen Balkon zur Sonnenseite. Vor allem für Familien mit Kindern ist die Wohnung hervorragend geeignet, da es ein separates Kinderzimmer und eine Spielecke im Wohnzimmer gibt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die perfekte Lage - man ist in zwei Minuten am Meer und hat ringsherum viele schöne Städte zum erkunden. Jan-Jakob ist der perfekte Gastgeber - er ist sehr freundlich, schnell erreichbar und bei Problemen sofort zur Stelle. Wir haben uns hier rundum wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen 🥰

El apartamento es luminoso, cómodo y está bien equipado con todo lo necesario. Está en un lugar tranquilo del centro histórico, a pocos minutos de la zona más turística y a solo 10 minutos de la estación central de trenes (a pie). El anfitrión ha sido muy amable. Repetiríamos sin dudar.

We had a great stay! The host was incredibly friendly and helpful — we arrived quite late, and we really appreciated that he waited for us. Communication was smooth and fast throughout our stay. The apartment was in excellent condition. I especially appreciated the workspace setup — it included a desk, docking station, monitor, keyboard, and mouse, which made it super convenient for both work and gaming with my own laptop. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the combined oven/microwave unit was easy to use. There's also a dishwasher, which made things even more convenient. Parking was free and easy to find right downstairs. There are supermarkets nearby, and a large shopping mall is just a short drive away. Overall, we were very satisfied and would definitely love to stay here again in the future!

The apartment was clean, spacious and welcoming. The four of us were very comfortable and if back in the area would want to stay again. Excellent location, walking distance to everything, but very peaceful. Jeremy was super responsive and attentive to any questions we had and we would absolutely recommend the host and property.

Très chouette appartement, propre, bien équipé, à 2 minutes à pieds de la mer. Tout ce qu’il faut à proximité (boulangerie, boucherie, Spar,…). Hôtes accueillants, réactifs, on a pu arriver plus tôt que prévu et repartir un peu plus tard. Très bonne adresse, nous n’y sommes restés qu’un WEEK-END mais on peut y passer un long séjour sans problème.

We had a wonderful stay at Dominique's 5th floor apartment. It was bright & airy & we felt at home immediately. The views are great & the large balcony is perfect for the afternoon sun/sunsets. There is also a 2nd balcony for the sunrise! And you can walk to the beach for these too, in only 15 minutes. The heated swimming pools(adult & baby pools)are a real hit. The large pool is very rarely busy. We loved it! You need to wear swimming caps, but once bought that wasn't a problem, as everyone wears one. They can be purchased in the small office in the pool apartment block. There are shops & restaurants within walking distance. The tram stop & train station are a 10 minute walk. We took a tram to Oostende & a train to Bruges. Fares are inexpensive. Kitchen facilities are excellent, coffee N'Espresso machine with pods & biscuits to start us off! A nice touch. Dominique is a very responsive & attentive host. Beds were very comfy. We had a really great stay. Just book it!!

ein sehr schön eingerichtetes uns sauberes Appartement mit allem was man braucht. Uns hat besonders gut die Lage gefallen. Man geht aus der Tür und ist gleich am Meer. Man kann alles zu Fuß erreichen. In unmittelbarer Nähe ist ein kleiner Yachtclub, der auch Getränke und Essen in sehr schönem Ambiente anbietet. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr nette Gastgeber, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Studio ist sauber. Allerdings gibt es einen leichten Zigarettengeruch im Zimmer. Der entweder durch die offene Balkon Tür da ist oder weil vorher es erlaubt war dort auf dem Zimmer zu rauchen. Ein kleines Schönchetsfehler unter dem Bett ist vorhanden , der Stoff ist gerissen. Sieht zwar nicht schön aus,hat aber keine Auswirkung auf den Schlafkomfort . Das Bett ist 180 cm groß und hat eine etwas weichere Matratze. Wir haben dort sehr gut geschlafen . Der Ausblick auf das Meer ist traumhaft . Atemberaubende Höhe.Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren sehr begeistert von der schönen, ruhigen Unterkunft und den besonders freundlichen Gastgeber*in! Beide waren hilfsbereit und sehr zuvorkommend! Für unser Kind wurden allerlei Spielsachen und ein extra Bett vorbereitet und die Tiere im und um den Garten waren sehr beliebt bei unserer Kleinen. Wir haben uns absolut wohl gefühlt und würden sofort wieder kommen!
