Kid-friendly holiday rentals in North Adams

Our high schooler is considering Williams College, and we stayed at Elizabeth's cottage in Williamstown to attend a tour. We drove across NY and did not arrive at the home until late at night. On the way Elizabeth kindly texted me suggestions for the safest and most comfortable route to get there, particularly at night. She turned the lights for us and turned the heater on. It made a huge difference to arrive to a warm house after our 3-hour drive in freezing weather. Elizabeth's Airbnb is a cute, clean, and cozy cottage, and we all felt right at home. It is very close (a five minute walk) to Williams College in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We will definitely stay here next time we are in town.

5 stars all around! The view and the setting are magical. The house is brilliantly appointed and designed. What a dream to stay in this house!! We want to come back for a stay in every season to experience it again and again! The interior is extremely cozy while being beautiful at the same time. We loved our stay here!! It was the perfect getaway for a long weekend. The property is beautiful and private but close to anything that you might need. The kitchen was super well stocked, beds were comfy, and we really appreciated the firewood supply. Nikki & Topher were great hosts - extremely responsive to all questions we had and proactive about check in/check out instructions. Would definitely come back!

Our party of four adults and two small kids really enjoyed our weekend in this unique and tastefully renovated former barn. The linens, bedding, and towels were all top quality, the kitchen was well equipped, and overall the place was comfortable and spotless. The location is super private and quiet, surrounded by nature and farmland, including an on-site stream and sheep (that's not a typo). A great spot to stay for a visit to the northern Berkshires - Mt. Greylock and Mass MoCA are very nearby. Our visit was on a frigid winter weekend with a ton of snow and outside temps in the 20s, yet our indoor temps were toasty and very comfortable, especially with the wood stove.

This is a delightful place! It's very near town but off the road so it's quiet. The house is larger than I expected and extremely tranquil and restorative. The sound of the creek just outside the porch is incredible! And Marin was a lovely and responsive host. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at this charming mushroom home in Pownal! The space was incredibly cozy, making it perfect for a peaceful getaway. Everything was thoughtfully designed, which made it easy to relax and feel at home. One of the highlights, in addition to the house, was the beautiful yard, which turned out to be a birdwatcher’s dream. I spent hours outside enjoying the fresh air and spotting all kinds of birds; it truly felt like a nature retreat.

The place was perfect for us. Great location, close to town, and yet quiet and secluded…We really enjoyed our stay.

Peter and the apartment were great! Peter was super responsive, friendly, and had nice touches like homemade granola with milk and coffee provided. After my original AirBNB fell through at check-in at 6pm, I was relieved (and saved) by Peter’s responsiveness.

This was my second time staying here and it’s perfect what I needed. I come up from the city to work Saratoga racetrack and just need a place to lay my head. It’s great affordable and clean. If you’re interested in downtown Troy, it’s a quick 10 minute drive. Also there is a Stewart’s close by. John and Shauna were very accommodating on both my visits!

We had another wonderful weekend at Barbara & Chad's suite. We've stayed there multiple times and love it for our family of four. The hosts are always responsive and so very helpful. We also love the nearby Berkshire East Mountain resort and nearby local towns. Looking forward to our next visit!

The apartment is cozy and lovely! My mom and sister visited for my graduation and it was amazing for their 1-week stay. I was initially worried that the property will be a bit noisy at night because it is in a busy area, but it was actually neatly tucked in behind a closed business — really private and quiet. Kim is also very responsive as a host!

We had a great stay here! The place is located a little outside of town but it was an easy drive to get into Williamstown. It was a good location if you are planning to explore the area a bit. There is some noise from the main road, but not so much that it was disruptive. The apartment was easy to find and exactly as described. It is a spacious place that easily fit three adults. Everything we needed was provided in the apartment and the hosts were incredibly responsive to questions and messages. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time staying in Ann’s place. It was more spacious than the photos. We stayed with our two young children so having the adjoining bedroom was an ideal setup. The kitchen was well stocked so made making dinner at home easy. Ann gave great food and drink recommendations and was a nice walk to Williams’ campus. We spent two days at Mass MoCA which was just a short drive away. Will definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

We stayed at Julia's vacation rental for a 3-day weekend with our four children under the age of 12. The things that were great: 1) the unit is 150 foot walk in ski boots from a ski trail that will take you to the Mount Snow lift, which was great because we didn't have to shlep 4 kids ski gear, 2) the four kids loved the bunk bed room and were comfortable, 3) there are two large shelves of board games the kids enjoyed, 4) the access to the Sports Center which has a heated indoor pool and hot tubs were a great way to end the day after skiing, 5) the outdoor locker was a great place to dump all the ski gear (much better storage location than inside the car or inside the unit) and 6) very nice fluffy towels and bed sheeting was comfortable. A combined liquid shampoo and body soap is provided in each bathroom, which is the same that we use to bath our kids at home.

The unit is very comfortable for a family and very convenient to Mount Snow. Updated bathrooms and washer/dryer. Great clubhouse and pool facilities at Seasons condo. Andrew was a pleasure to work with.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Rafael's condo. The space was very clean and comfy, and exactly matched the description and photos posted here. The fireplace was a great draw, too. If you're planning on skiing at Mt. Snow, the Moover shuttle bus stop is located right outside of this building, which made for a very convenient and quick way to get to Mt. Snow for my family of 4. We would certainly stay here again in the future.

Caitlyn An excellent host quick to respond despite moving with her babies the same day as my trip! She was accommodating and provided a clear quick easy in from my late night travel. Her space is large and spacious with great set up lighting and comfortable and clean bedding. Loved the couch bedding set up! The entrance allowed ease to store the ski stuff so roomy keeping the living space free of the typical ski vacay clutter! The bathroom shower temp and pressure with soft towel and wash cloths provided with soap, and shampoo and conditioner gave a nice end of the day relax. Plenty of blankets for layering that may be needed. Kitchen appointed well with a good stove and oven easy to use and to easy prepare with pans and utensils for cooking, plenty of silver ware and plates glasses and plates that i truly appreciated. Couldn't use the ski in/ ski out as that lift was this late int eh season but how easy was it to scoot down in 2 min! Will be my stratton stay always onward!

Such a unique stay! David gave very helpful instructions for arriving and getting to the property, even supplied photos for extra assistance. The property itself is cozy and in a great part of the city. There’s lots to do nearby, super walkable, and David provides great local recommendations. The shared gallery space was so cool to see too. Great experience!

Great little studio spot to use as your Basecamp for activities in the area!

We are repeat visitors. Staying here is always a pleasure. The apartment is wonderful. Just as described and perfect for day trips or just staying in. Mary and Lance are friendly and courteous. Hope to be able to stay here again when in the area.
