The stay is perfect for spending some time relaxing and enjoying yourself. Everything is very well taken care of, down to the smallest detail, and we are delighted with the time we spent in the apartment and Betty's exceptional and friendly service. We will repeat.

What an incredible place! This would have to be one of the best Airbnb I have stay at! It was absolutely stunning and had everything we needed. Daniela was the most incredible host. Not only did she give us incredible suggestions, she helped book a few things for us. She went out of her way constantly to make sure we were able to enjoy the area. She made our experience in the Duo Valley incredible and very memorable.

A great location in the countryside 45 minutes from Porto and 2 hours from Pinhão. Beautiful scenery , hiking around. Home is on a hill with amazing views of the Douro River. Beautiful outdoor space with outdoor kitchen and a small pool. Excellent for family vacation.

It seems impossible to write something new about Maria and her wonderful place at the Douro River that has not been already commented and praised by previous guests. The 5-star review rating for Casa do Rio is very well earned: it is a piece of heaven, tucked away in the Douro Valley and Maria - and not to forget her husband, Jose (who does not get enough praise in other reviews) - are exceptional hosts. We stayed for 3 weeks, with a number of our friends coming to visit us for shorter stays. Maria accommodate all of our changing check-in and check-out needs without a glitch. We enjoyed taking advantage of the many activities and entertainment options - including massages by Hugo (a master of his craft) that the location provides. One thing to be aware of: There is no shopping option and limited restaurant choices available in walking distance, hence a car is almost a necessity for a longer stay.

We were a couple with a small dog for 6 nights in Aida's accommodation. Aida is a great host and was always available to us. The house has charm and a great view. However, we would have booked the house two days less if we had known in advance that on the last two days there would still be craft activities at their neighbouring house (owned by the family). Otherwise, it is a great quiet oasis to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended.

Very beautiful apartment and very thoughtful owners !

We had such a lovely stay here! The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful and the stay is even better than the photos. We played tennis, minigolf, jeu de boules and more. We also had a swim in the nice pool. The highlight is the terrace with the amazing view, the outdoor kitchen and the sweetest dogs. I can highly recommend this place, we will come back for sure!

The whole place is amazing, very quiet and peaceful, good for a nice vacation or a quick getaway! The property is well maintained and there’s a lot of different things to do inside. The host is very nice and really helpful, it was great and we are happy to come back again!

Fantastic stay at Ricardo's villa! Beautiful pool and villa setup in an incredibly secluded part of the countryside. We went as a group of eight in our late twenties - we didn't have a car so Ricardo organised a taxi for us to get around that was incredibly helpful, including to get down into the village to visit the INCREDIBLE Tasquinha do Tio Miguel! We will be back! Xxx

We had a lovely stay, super hosts and very peaceful area. We loved the saltwater pool and although we were a little worried about sharing with neighbours, it was all fine! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

I had a really enjoyable stay. The Airbnb matched the description perfectly—it was cozy, comfortable, and surrounded by nature, which made it ideal for a quiet getaway. The area felt very safe and peaceful. The host was great—super responsive, friendly, and provided clear instructions and helpful recommendations for the area. The place was very clean overall, and the pool was in good condition too. I also had a chance to meet the owner’s parents, who were very kind and helpful. There were no issues during my stay, and I’d definitely recommend this place to others looking for a relaxing break.

We spent a wonderful and relaxing week in the holiday home. The location and views are indescribably beautiful! Having breakfast on the terrace in the morning with a view of the mountains is priceless. The apartment is furnished to a high standard, the mattress comfortable, the shower a dream. The whirlpool relaxed after the hike and we were even allowed to use the large pool alone - swimming with a view of the mountains. Antonio was very attentive and was always available. The only downside: the already mentioned moisture problem. A dehumidifier is running and it doesn't smell musty. We still felt very comfortable and hope to be able to come back.

A truly memorable stay. The landscape was breathtaking — wildflowers, birdsong, horses, and morning mist over the valley created a dreamlike atmosphere. The spa facilities and infinity pool, set against stunning views, were especially restorative. The cabin is compact but surrounded by natural beauty. We loved waking to the sounds of birds and nearby waterfall — simply idyllic. There was occasional noise from grounds maintenance, but it didn’t detract too much from the overall impression. The host was communicative and flexible with our arrival time. Thoughtful touches like the welcome wine and chocolate cake made us feel right at home. Everything was smooth and easy, and we found some fantastic local restaurants. The surrounding area is full of charm, with quiet walks, friendly people, and views we’ll never forget. We spent our days exploring and simply soaking it all in. This place made us fall in love with Portugal — we’re already looking forward to returning. Thank you!

Such a lovely experience. Marissa was so welcoming and answered all of our questions. We enjoyed the countless recommendations such as the local bakery (San Miguel was our favorite), and the 516 Suspension Bridge. The AirBnb was cozy and so lovely that we really felt at ease and comfortable. We will definitely keep it on the list for future travel!

Beautiful house in a sleepy village, perfect for chilling and as a base for exploring the region.

This is truly one of the most beautiful and unique places we have ever stayed, a piece of paradise handmade by Armenio. The former watermill has been beautifully converted into a fine BnB with a comfortable bathroom and a great bed. The first night, it takes some getting used to for us city dwellers to fall asleep to the sound of a waterfall, but after that you sleep wonderfully. You feel like you are alone in the world in this little green paradise, which is beautifully laid out in every way: the terraces, the outdoor kitchen, everything is wonderful. Armenio is extremely friendly and helpful. The dirt road to this oasis is quite challenging and long for a simple car and that is actually the only thing that could deter a hesitant motorist from choosing this place. We were not deterred at all and we are glad that this is the case. If we ever get around here again, we'll definitely come back

Everything is perfect! I definitely recommend it! Rosa, the host, was very friendly and helpful. He prepared a delicious sangria for us and gave us a lot of privacy. Our dog Yako had a great time playing with his dog, Beny!! The space is quiet, spacious, with beautiful views and a large village to walk through. The house is very well equipped! I would definitely come back. Thank you!!!!
