Holiday houses in Nilakottai

We friends had a wonderful stay at British House in Kodaikanal. The property offers a lovely view from the backside, just as shown in the photos. The restrooms were exceptionally clean, and the overall hygiene was impressive. The host was very friendly and accommodating, making the stay even more enjoyable. The check-in and check-out process was flexible, which was a big plus. The only downside was that the firecamp wasn't included in the booking and cost ₹1,000, which felt slightly expensive. While it’s the standard rate in Kodaikanal, they could consider either reducing the price or including it as a complimentary feature in the booking. That said, the firecamp spot itself was fantastic and truly the cherry on the cake. Overall, a highly recommended place for anyone visiting Kodaikanal.

Thank you for the lovely and cosy stay. Every minute things are selected elegantly and your Chettinad theme is awesome. Chef Dinesh food was like home cooked food. Hari was very helpful. All the women staff are very loving and caring, sorry forgot their names. The owner was very humble and polite and answered all our questions . Overall the great experience

Property is an oldish 4BHK Duplex on a cliff. You can see the beautiful valley from here. Andavar temple is walkable from here. It has got enough parking for 3 cars. Anand was the caretaker for us. We got good help and tasty food for us as well from him. Bonfire in the night is amazing. Since the property is next to a cliff, it was breezy with cold air (much colder than city). Building is slightly old with older furnishing but not much of a concern though. Hot water was available for bathing.

Clean, wonderful for family stay... out of city... closer to airport...

The stay was really peaceful. The staff was really accommodating and kind. Their Home-cooked food was the icing on the cake; scrumptious! They have a wide range of options for the menu; ranging from western to local delights. The campfire was really beautiful. Highly recommended!

We had a very smooth check in experience. Mr. Mahindran & Mrs. Nagalaxmi (the caretakers of the place) were super hospitable & ensured that we had a nice, clean, hassle-free stay. Mrs. Nagalaxmi also cooked us an elaborate breakfast. Loved the place & it's proximity to all the viewpoints in Kodai.

Well, it was an amazing trip for us and we never expected that we are going to have such an awesome trip to Kodaikanal. Meenakshi's property is just before the Kodaikanal which keeps you away from the busy Kodai town. It's really big, clean and calm where you and your kids will really enjoy the good time. Oh Yes! "Shanthi Akka" - Such a wonderful caretaker and the way she took care of us throughout our stay was something we really never expected. She cooked an amazing food for all of us (whatever we requested) and she never denied anytime. Overall, it was a fantabulous stay for us and I would strongly suggest this property to family who really want to stay in Kodaikanal and enjoy the home made food.
