Monthly Rentals in Nicollet Island

The location is fantastic. You are very close to the high-end dining and great places to stop in and grab a bite. There is a little bit of street noise but nothing that kept me awake. While the building is historical, it has undergone many updates and renovations. I didn’t experience any technical issues with the building. The gardens and grounds were beautiful. October in MN, the weather is unpredictable. When the first few days were still warm and the evenings chilly and the building had not switched from air conditioning to heat, I mentioned to Judy that I was chilly in the evenings. She produced a small space heater that kept me toasty and warm. The apartment is well furnished and well laid out. The only downside for me was none of the closet space accommodated a long garment. I simply hung a hook over the door in front of the washer/dryer so I could hang my dresses. The secure parking ramp was on the next block which was perfect and easy to use. I would stay with Judy again.

A fabulous place! Just what I needed

I stayed at the Oaklands for 28 days. May 2-30th. I relocated from okc and needed time to find an apartment. It’s peaceful and a perfect area. Lots of nice restaurants. You can walk everywhere. I’d recommend this place to anyone. I just have to tell you to budget for parking there is no free parking anywhere and you’re not told this until after you book. The cheapest lot was $16 a day. $17.44 a day with tax for 30 days and I did not budget for that. After the 3rd day of paying the parking machine I notice on the receipt that it had a website. I went on there and saw that they had a monthly pass you can buy for $210. I called them and they prorated me for the 3 days and allowed be to get a pass. I’m glad I saw that. I saved $278 by doing this. So if you have an extended stay, set up monthly parking.

One of the rare times I felt the place looked better than the photos! I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely book again when in Minneapolis. I felt right at home, it was clean, comfortable bed, easy check-in. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, the university, Stone Arch Bridge. Very good value for the price I paid. Note that there isn’t a washer/dryer in unit, rather the building had a room, use quarters.
