Family-friendly holiday rentals in Neyland

We've just come back from a great few days at Secret Water. There were six of us and the space worked really well. The warm, well-equipped kitchen had a big table with plenty of chairs, so that when somebody was cooking, we all sat around the table chatting, and nobody was left alone preparing food. When we weren't in the kitchen, we were in the living room, which was also a great size, with plenty of seating and a wood burner for cosy evenings. The bedrooms were very well-proportioned and comfortable. However, the highlight was the wood-fired hot tub, which was the icing on the cake. We fired it up and sat out in it for ages in near-freezing air temperatures, with clear, star-filled skies above us. It was just wonderful. Unsurprisingly, there was also Prosecco involved. Our main contact for the holiday was Lucy and any queries we had were answered promptly, but at no time were the owners intrusive at all. All-in-all, it was an excellent time. we had a great stay, the beach equipment and wet suits provided in the shed were a real bonus - kids have a great time on the beautiful beaches nearby. Would visit again.

What a beautiful place in the middle of perfect nature. We are very busy people and this was the perfect place to unwind and switch off with the children. Location was quiet and peaceful and we will definitely be back. Natasha was a wonderful host checking in and replying to all my messages. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place.

What a lovely place to stay with beautiful scenery! Steve welcomed us on arrival and showed us around the hut, he gave us all the information needed on local area. The hut had everything we needed for our little get away. Star gazing while in the hot tub was lush.

Maya and Robins place was extremely relaxing! It was wonderful to unplug from the world around us and enjoy time as a family! The hot tub was lovely!!! We were visited by the cats on our final night and day, which our daughter loved. Socks was super friendly!! We would definitely come back!

Overall a great stay with my son. The place has no WiFi and we had little to no reception so without a connection, it’s very hard to research what to do or where to go. The weather in Wales is generally wet so when the sun came out, we’d like to enjoy the outside space but the house has no furniture. No bbq. No seats or table. The location is also hard to find. Instructions could be clearer as Google Maps gets it wrong. It’s opposite the red post box is best advice! Driveway entrance should also have a warning. Car bottomed out in big holes. And be warned, it’s very remote and I get the point of it but everything you do requires stressful driving 30mins plus. Walking from house also requires walking mainly on dangerous single lanes and I’m a country boy but I wouldn’t risk the 2 hours to nearest pub. Easy to get into, super clean, fire was lovely, water very hot. Hot tub also a nice option. Thanks for a great trip Dorian.

Lovely rural location. Perfect for a family break - our little boy loved the garden. The hot tub was a great addition to our stay too and the hosts were very helpful and accommodating.

Lovely accommodation at the back of the house. Totally private, with a large hot tub, which we looked upon as a major luxury. Very dog friendly. Excellent location, very handy for the beach, and also close to the Cross Inn with its excellent food and friendly welcome. Rebekah was a very welcoming host, and instantly made us feel at home. Couldn’t ask for more, and would definitely book again in the future.

We stayed here with our German shepherd and it was perfect! The garden is massive, private, quiet and secure for our dog. There is even an outside area under cover which was useful for drying off a very wet dog and hanging wet clothes/swimwear. The cottage is gorgeous with loads of places to sit, the kitchen is full of all the cooking equipment you could need. The shower was lovely and easy to use. The bedroom looks out into the garden where roses were in bloom and birds were flying around, which made a very calming experience to wake up to. This is such a beautiful place, so wonderful to be able to walk to the shop, beach and pub. Thanks for a perfect stay.

Beautiful cottage with everything we needed, and plenty of space for all of us. Really clear instructions from the host. Perfect setting for a weekend away - great coastal walks and beaches nearby. The Golden Lion pub was brilliant for dinner, too.

Our primary reason for the stay was to visit our daughter who lives nearby. Angus and Bean couldn't have been kinder, ensuring we had plenty of logs if the evenings were chilly, checking that we had everything we needed and their enthusiasm for the locality was evident. A beautiful place to stay and we shall definitely return later this year.

This place could not have been more perfect. I am outdoorsy and generally have a high threshold for roughing it while my partner is an indoor cat type person. This place suited us both because of its unbelievably idyllic location, the tree-house feel, and the creature comforts. Wonderful, varied book selections and the DVD collection was great fun to look through. Elizabeth was responsive and generous with her guidance. The Daniels are also artists, I believe. The paintings in the tree-house were beautiful! For my partner and I, also artists, this stay felt aspirational. We walked along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and into St. David's, and we were pleasantly surprised to find several vegan-friendly options for us to enjoy. We loved trying vegan Welsh rarebit and actual homemade Welsh Cakes for the first time at Mamgu. We hope to be back in not too long! Thanks for having us!

Daffodil cottage is a fantastic place to stay in. It is well maintained with everything you need. It is in a lovely village and so close to the pubs. I would recommend a stay here to a couple as the unit is perfect for 2 people. We loved our time in the area and our stay at Daffodil cottage.

What an absolute gem of a cosy cottage. Beautiful spot, extremely clean & tidy. Quiet location but not far to drive to beaches & places of interest. Great to be able to walk to Colby Woodland Gardens.

We had a fantastic, relaxing week at Amanda and Ian’s cosy cottage in Wales. The beds were super comfy, the temperature perfect, and the peaceful surroundings made for a lovely break. The cottage had everything we needed—well-equipped kitchen with all essentials and a decent freezer compartment, plus a great bathroom with towels, toiletries, a powerful shower and even a first aid kit. The welcome touches of traditional Welsh cakes, apple juice, tea, coffee and milk were so thoughtful and much appreciated. Shortly after we arrived, the Wi-Fi went down due to a local fault completely beyond Amanda and Ian’s control, but they were excellent—quick to contact us, visited in person, and kept us fully updated until it was sorted, which didn’t take long. Their warm, attentive hosting made us feel very welcome and well looked after. We would absolutely recommend this cottage and would be very happy to return for another peaceful and comfortable stay in the future.

We had a great week at this lovely cottage in such a beautiful location. Fabulous view of the sea and within walking distance to the Pembrokeshire coastal path. Perfect for a relaxing get away but within easy reach of interesting places to visit. Ieuan and Sandra were great hosts and the wine and goodies they left for us were much appreciated. Would highly recommend this as an ideal base for anyone visiting Pembrokeshire.

Our whole family absolutely loved staying here. Plenty of space for a family of 6. It's a great base for adventuring the many beautiful beaches. The children especially loved the swimming pool on site also bowling 🎳 and the castle 🏰 which are both only a 10 minute drive away. Thank you for a great family holiday 😊

We have just returned from a fabulous break at Julia's. The cottage was perfect for our party of 6 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. The cottage was spacious and well equipped with plenty of parking. The swimming pool was great for the children and they loved seeing all the animals. Very peaceful location and in easy reach of some lovely beaches and towns to explore. Julia was on hand for anything we needed. Would definitely recommended it. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great van on a quiet bit of the park but within easy reach of the beach and entertainment area. Very homely and super clean. Kiln Park is a great site, perfect walk into Tenby.

Exactly as expected and hoped for. The cabin was at the top of the site and very, very peaceful. Beautiful surroundings. Liz's instructions were faultless and she was really helpful and quick to respond. The cabin is amazing, very quirky, retro vibes. All amenities worked well. We visited in beautiful sunny conditions so were out all day, everyday. There is a tv and plenty of dvd's and games if needed. Outdoor seating area which was very relaxing in the evening. Perfect location for trips to Cardigan, Aberporth and surrounding areas. The walk by Cenarth falls is beautiful and there are a number of pubs also nearby but a car is needed. The on site bar was open, spotlessly clean and run by a very friendly gentleman. It is a wooden cabin, not modern and not a five star establishment...exactly what we wanted. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to go back again!!! Thank you Liz! 😊

We had an amazing time at Faenor, Hazel is absolutely lovely, she checked if my boys were ok with dogs (they are) as she has dogs and her daughter and son in law who were visiting have a puppy, my boys loved them all. The place is so peaceful and out of the way but only a short drive into Narberth for the shops. My boys absolutely loved the pool and me and the hubby loved the hot tub, it was lovely to unwind after a day out and about, plus I have arthritis so it felt like a lovely massage, my youngest went to say goodbye to the pool 3 times on the day we left! Being a city girl I love getting away from it and being around nature, with the duck pond and watching Hazel's sheep! The house was a lot bigger and more spacious than I thought, with a full bookcase of books and games for the kids and a dvd player and lots of dvds! Would highly recommend especially for families with young children, hoping to return again :-D

We had a wonderful week in Diana and Roger’s caravan on park dean, beautiful views of the estuary, short walk to the campsite pool and entertainment. We day tripped to Pembry county park and Kidwelly castle but otherwise went in the pool everyday and enjoyed the restaurant, bar and evening entertainment. The kids loved it. Caravan was really great, comfortable, well equipped, the right size for four of us. Diana and Roger could not have been more accommodating- they pre booked pool sessions for us, met us on check in and answered every question within an hour - fantastic hosts- thank you and we will come again.

We had a lovely 3 night stay. The property is spacious and well kept. We loved the swimming pool in the hotel next door and had a fantastic Sunday lunch there. Tony was very kind and helpful

We loved our stay at the cornstore. Lovely, well appointed home located on a quiet site with clean swimming pool, table tennis, tennis, crazy golf course and surrounding open spaces. The property was clean and comfortable. Access to the property and the facilities was made easy with key codes sent in messages. Really lovely relaxing break with stunning beaches and lots of activities nearby. Doh friendly which is a real bonus for us. We will definitely stay here again when visiting the area.
