Holiday houses in Newtongrange

A lovely downstairs flat right next to Cellardyke harbour. It was clean, well furnished and well equipped with some lovely touches such as flowers and a bottle of wine. Right on the coastal walk route and a very easy walk into Anstruther. Location was great for us. Quiet and tranquil.

Great house and lovely area to stay. Richard's home is modern and clean, very functional and a great deal. He and his wife met us as soon as we arrived and helped us with everything we needed. My daughter was extremely happy as there is a kids park within touching distance (very quiet, family neighbourhood) and we had great fun staying here.

Jonathan was a great host - even coming to meet us from the bus stop when there was a road closure & arranging a late check out at no extra cost. The flat is brilliantly positioned for food shopping & public transport & is quiet, spotlessly clean & well equipped. The communal staircase definitely needs redecorating but that didn’t bother us once we were inside the flat, as it was so cosy & homely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Jonathan.

We had a wondeful weekend in Edinburgh and the apartment did not disappoint. The location is ideal, close enough to the main sites, but still private and quiet. Paul left some essentials in the apartment, which was much appreciated. The apartment felt bigger than on the pictures and had great touches, from original features to modernised fixtures.

The location of the flat is a bit off the city centre, so it’s very peaceful and quiet throughout the whole day. The bus station is literally in front the building, so it’s very easy to commute. The flat was overall tidy and clean, although there was a bit of dirty spot on one of the sofa’s cover. Other than that the rest of flat was very clean.

Our stay at Jane’s wonderful property was a brilliant getaway for us. Everything was very clean when we arrived, and the check in process was very clear and stress free. Jane provided a very informative booklet with information about the property and things to do in the local area as well as a lovely welcome gift that we enjoyed on our first evening. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful getaway - we will certainly be back!

Our family of four spent 5 nights here, and from the arrival goodies, to the recommendations on where to go, to the great communications , the hosts were fab from start to finish! We loved the accommodation, it was so clean and in a beautiful peaceful spot. The hot tub was lovely and warm when we arrived and very welcome after a long drive. The lake was fantastic and probably the highlight of our week as the sun came out to play when we were there and it was so lovely having the boats to use. We also took our own paddleboard and the lake was just the right size for getting around on it. Only thing to note is that the house is quite far from the nearest supermarkets and towns and even the local pub needs to be driven to due to the lanes, but that wasn’t a problem for us. The hosts had recommended pre-ordering a food shop which we didn’t do, but would if we stayed again. I’ve already recommended it to a friend and would definitely stay again if we are in the Scottish Borders! Thank you!

No better location! Walking up to the apartment you’re greeted with a gorgeous view of the castle, so many restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance - it was the perfect home base. The size of the space and amenities were ideal to enjoy the weekend with my friend. Gavin was also super responsive friendly and to all messages.

The apartment was located in a very nice neighborhood with a lot of nice place nearby. It was very easy to find and enter. It was clean and cozy. The bathroom was very clean even though a bit small. Overall we had a very nice stay and enjoyed Edinburgh!
