The Thunderbird Tiny House

The Thunderbird tiny house is located on the Thunderbird Ranch about 13 miles west of Mountainair, New Mexico. We are surrounded by the Cibola National Forest on all four sides. The property is owned by the Wester's and has been in their family for almost a hundred years. We also have other vacation homes for rent so if you want to bring another family we can accommodate that. (No pets) Choose silence, solitude in our 12'x14' AIR CONDITIONED furnished hut, with a picture window view of Mesa; bed, desk, rocking chair, kitchenette. (1 guest only) and Wi-Fi. Space dedicated for meditation, prayer, writing. Private shower 90 steps away, inside main house. Hiking trail minutes away. Vaccination recommended. (Note: our second retreat space, inside main house, has private bath, kitchen use, library and LR.)

Welcome to the Desert Dome! We are located in small village of Chaparral, NM. This is a great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of life while still having all the city amenities close by. You can find lots of hiking and biking trails in the area. We love furry friends, and would be happy to have your pets here too. There is a fenced in back area for their use. All pets must be leashed if not in the fenced area.
