Pet-friendly holiday rentals in New Haven County

We had to find a place last minute due to some unexpected circumstances, and Lori was incredibly accommodating. We only needed it for one night to fit five of us, and the three-bedroom setup was perfect. She went above and beyond by offering early check-in and late check-out, and even brought us muffins and coffee since she knew we had to hit the road early. The space was cozy, clean, and very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty at times, but it didn’t cause any major issues. All in all, a great stay — we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

This is a beautiful place to stay! Very clean and pleasantly decorated! Our family felt completely at home. We had everything we needed for our three-day stay. The kitchen was well-stocked, there were plenty of amenities and even a great selection of games that our family enjoyed playing. We were close to a couple of beautiful beaches and a wonderful cozy local coffee shop. Miguel and Kaitlyn are great hosts! Very responsive, helpful and friendly! We would highly recommend their place and would definitely stay again!

This place was amazing from the moment I walked in being welcomed with a stocked kitchen of breakfast essentials. The rooms were cozy and clean. I was so intrigued with the house being built in 1802 and history on the walls with all the renovations. My host was very responsive and helpful from start to finish. Will definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.

Erin was very responsive and approachable. She gave clear instructions on entry and exit to the house. It was cozy and clean and relaxing. He little touches of luxury were everywhere to be found. I would go again in a heartbeat.

The Button Factory is adorable. It is an old home though and the neighborhood is definitely boggy so it’s got a few quirks but neat to spend time in the house with so much history. I wish there were pictures of what it was like when it was the button factory and the name of the company and any historical artifacts. Thank you for your hospitality!

We had a fantastic stay! Johanna and her husband were extremely friendly, helpful, and graciously hospitable. We felt very welcomed. They were very responsive to a few requests we had and even made up a futon as an extra bed when asked about sleeping arrangements for my family of five. We had a great time roasting s’mores over a campfire by the pond and my son caught his first fish. Great memories! On our next visit to Fairfield, this will be the first rental I will be looking for.

The place matched the description perfectly and much more spacious than what one usually finds for a single bed/bath apartment. I enjoyed the stay and would return again. For me it was a perfect place to accommodate overflow thanksgiving guests over the holiday.

Truly home sweet home. Just walk in and relax. Fully stocked kitchen including milk, eggs, butter and pastries so no need to rush out to go grocery shopping. Convenient to New Haven yet completely quiet neighborhood for resting and taking walks.

This Cottage was in the BEST location and had the perfect amenities for a long term stay with my two toddlers and our family dog. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.

Karleen can only be called a gracious and hospitable host. The huge studio is beautifully decorated and has everything a person would need to move in and stay permanently! The space is also comfortable -- I literally felt torn between hanging out in the Airbnb and actually spending the days out with my friends! The neighborhood where the studio is located is up-scale, quiet and safe. Karleen's place was my first and immediate choice when I went on Airbnb to book my stay -- the photographs just told me "this is the one." I will for sure book another stay there when I return to the area to see my friends again. As anyone who reads this can surmise, I recommend Karleen and her beautiful studio most highly. Liz S.

We had such a great time staying at this Milford house! It was even better in person than the pictures show, more spacious than expected. The balconies overlooking the water were great to wake up to, and the small touches that the host added (towels set up and stacked in each bedroom, full coffee bar) made everything that much better! Allana was incredibly kind and responsive, being proactive about check in and check out and making sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be repeat stayers at this house!

I an so grateful that i found this airbnb to celebrate my birthday last minute. They were so easy to talk to especially with my birthday plans. The place was gorgeous especially with beautiful weather. I really wish we stayed longer with the warm weather and it was close to everything the town, the cute coffee shops, the pizza. There are truly so many words to express how much i love the place. I would definitely come back to visit conneticut again. Thank you to everyone who takes care of this beautiful home :)

Great location that was an easy walk to the beach and to town. The house was equipped with everything we needed including lots of toys/books that kept our children entertained. They especially loved the backyard and trampoline. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely and charming location. Full of New England charm. The guest apartment was spacious, comfortable and very well appointed with all we needed. Definitely expecting to stay again when in the area.

Our visit was utilitarian. We needed accommodations for us, our grown children and grandchildren and a dog. But the site of the cottage, its charm, its comfort made us wish we were staying another week. James' thoughtfulness went beyond any other Airbnb hosts' that we've experienced. Everything we might need if we were staying 10 days was there, clean, labeled. Thank you, James.

We stayed at David's place in Sandy Hook for a month while our home was being renovated, and it was a total lifesaver! Dave is an awesome host—super responsive and thoughtful from start to finish (he even let me know we left a phone charger behind after we left—thanks, Dave!). With a big family, I was so relieved to find the house had everything we needed—a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of toiletries, and tons of space to spread out. When it snowed, Dave made sure the driveway and walkways were shoveled and salted, which was a huge help. The place is peaceful and private, a nice escape from the usual hustle and bustle, and the neighbors were friendly. Oh, and if you stay here—definitely check out Lake Zoar Drive-In just around the corner. Great food and beautiful lake views! We’d absolutely stay here again. Thanks again, Dave, for everything!

Spent the last week of the summer at this cute little cottage less than a block from the beach. The house is as described, looks like the pics, clean, stocked with amenities, and has a cute little outdoor deck area with a view of the water. Location is walkable to a few restaurants and creamery. Neighbors were so friendly; a really nice community. We really enjoyed our stay!

I chose Marlene’s lovely spot primarily because it was in a location convenient for short trips to visit family and friends in Wallingford, Middlebury and Middletown while on my way south from New Hampshire. The peaceful, quiet surroundings along with a spotless, well-appointed accommodation made it very appealing: highly recommended.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay! Danny was truly amazing! Very responsive and even checked on us during the winter storm to ensure everything was ok. He also had the snow plow come through and do the driveway prior to checkout. The house is amazing and we can’t recommend Danny’s place enough!

Space was comfortable and clean. Hosts were super responsive. Greatly appreciate the fruit, coffee and light breakfast foods provided. Such a huge help when traveling!
