The reviews It was conveniently located near the Nintendo Museum (only 4 stops on the Kintetsu line). Living in a traditional Japanese house and talking to Japanese people was a great experience. It was a 2-minute walk from the bus stop that took me directly to Fushimi Inari. The view from the top was amazing, overlooking the city of Kyoto. It's a little far from the center but it was quiet and I slept well. Uzu introduced us to some restaurants around the inn, and they were all delicious.

Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. 柳庵は京都の奥座敷亀岡市にあります。京都の町中からは少し離れていますが、最寄駅から電車で嵯峨嵐山迄10分、二条駅迄は17分と市内と比べてもそれほど不便では無いかと思います。 駐車場も充分にございますので、ご親戚のお集まりにもお勧めです。 近くにはトロッコ列車や保津川下りの出発地点があり皆様で楽します。宿の100m圏内にはショッピングモールTやレストランがあり大変便利です。ソファベッドを含む二組のベッド、ベビーコットが使用できます。 Yanagian's nearest station St.UMAHORI is 25 minutes from St. Kyoto. 10 minutes to st.Arashiyama, 17 minutes to St.Nijo. It's also convenient, if you book Romantic train. There are supermarket, Pharmacy, DIY store and restaurants close by. We have 2 beds and baby cot.
