Family-friendly holiday rentals in Nantan

Thank you to this traditional old house for making our trip a pleasant experience and for the patience of the host.We are very satisfied with this trip, the construction of the homestay is very good, and the location is convenient!

Chie & Chris's place is located in a tiny, very quiet alley in the heart of Gion. There are several temples & shrines located within walking distance, & we found incredible restaurants nearby. They gave us clear instructions on what to tell the cab driver to get there, & self check-in was easy. The accomodations were pristinely clean. The master bedroom with a large Western style bed is upstairs, & the steps are steep which was no issue for us at all but might be for elderly, injured, or handicapped folks. My 6'5" husband had to be careful to duck under door frames because of his height but staying in a historic machiya was worth the small effort. Our 14-year-old son slept on a futon on the main level & loved it. Communication was excellent, & they gave us numerous recommendations for restaurants. There is a Lawson konbini & a grocery store close by, as well as a quaint bar across the alley. We loved being within walking distance of the action coupled with the quietness of the night.

Best AirBnB I’ve ever stayed in. Awesome place and Hirohito was a very friendly host. Fit 4 adults comfortably for a few nights. I would recommend to anyone.

Great location! Nishiki market was a 2 minute walk. Family mart was just around the corner. Everything was close and convenient. We love the free refreshments and some nice gifts when we arrived. We love it so much we’re already planning my next trip. LOL

Place was clean, neat and exactly as advertised. The host was great about communicating. Sould stay again if in the area.

My daughter and I are traveling together Your best choice to heal your itinerary It's far from the center, but it was a perfect choice for the price! The bathroom with a beautiful Japanese garden also feels like an outdoor shower and a large bath to relieve daily fatigue. It was clean and tidy, and there were various utensils, so I was able to stay comfortably. The best except for the street! I didn't have a hard time using Uber Taxi. The price was also a little more expensive than the price of Seoul Taxi, so it was okay. I'd like to try this place or your other listings again next time. I also recommend it to large families! I'm a dot next time.

A very comfortable and quiet area, conveniently close to Kyoto Station. If you don’t have too much luggage, it’s just a 15-minute walk—or one stop by train. Great value for money, very cozy. Highly recommended!

Shared bicycles can be rented next door to the room, making it easy to get around

We had a great time!! The house is exceptional, even more beautiful than in the photos. Japanese immersion guaranteed. And the host was really great and very very kind. Thanks a lot for a great week-long stay!

Gorgeous house for a family trip ! - Clean, spacious, felt like home immediately - The location is THE best IMHO. Easy to access subway, Eizan line and mt. Hiei is nearby - 7-11 is 20 sec walk! + river To sum up - for me it’s the best place to stay in Kyoto.

The host and the house are amazing!The host's wife is very nice, very attentive and patient in communication and guidance before and after check-in, and very caring for us!On the day of check-in, he also came to the station to pick us up to the residence, and introduced us to the surrounding environment and configuration all the way.Although the residence may be a bit far from popular attractions, the house is great!I believe that the moment you enter the house, you will feel that it is extremely worthwhile!Two days is not enough to experience the goodness of this home and the style of Osaka. I hope to have the opportunity to return to this home in the future!

Nice house in a quiet neighborhood. Location gives fantastic access to the city through the Green Line (Karasuma). Easy to access from Kyoto Station shinkansen. Less than ten minute walk to the Aeon Mall. All facilities in working order. The washing machine is very useful in extending the usefulness of your carried clothing.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cottage. The house was very clean and spacious. For us, the best part was the location. It truly felt like we were locals living in the community where Cozy Cottage is located. All of the staff were also very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time, and the stay definitely made our time in Kyoto extra special. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a bit of a slower pace in Kyoto.

We stayed with 3 families of 12 people, but there were plenty of beds and we were able to relax!It was great to have a BBQ even though it was raining!

The hosts Tatsuro-san was incredibly responsive and helpful, even when I needed help with a delivery! The place is as described, clean, wonderful amenities with sufficient space for my family of 5. Everything was well-explained by Tatsuro-san. It's a pity I could not stay longer as we were returning but I would definitely choose to stay again! The place is located in a very nice, quiet neighborhood with plenty of convenient spots to purchase what you need. It is also within short distance of a train station. The other hosts, Ichiro-san & Eiko-san were also very friendly & hospitable. Sending us off on our last day of check-out with an omiyage too! I look forward to my next trip to Osaka and staying here once again!

Awesome manifestation!Currently using my favorite house of four years on Airbnb! First of all, the host is very welcoming and the service is just right. The house is very large and the beddings are comfortable.Even though there will be a bit of noise from cars during the day, it is quiet to fall asleep at night.

Shogo was an amazing host!! His home was clean and he had so many great directions in english for me and the other guests. I would highly recommend this to anyone staying in Kyoto! I know we will be back :)

Yukiko was amazing, we lost our key and she came to give us the spare key late at night. Great host and great place, highly recommend here to everyone!!

In a quiet and pleasant neighborhood (lots of good affordable restaurants nearby), this is a typically Japanese house impeccably organized, very spacious for a couple, with charming details (the indoor garden adjoining the bedroom) and a very responsive hostess. We will come back without hesitation!

Terry was an amazing host from start to finish. She picked us up and dropped us off at the local metro station, although it's only an 8 minute walk, it was a big help with the luggage. She was always in touch, for example when a electric kettle was not working well, she immediately replaced it (there was also a normal kettle to use in the meantime!). The space was perfect for our needs, well equipped, clean, cozy, and had a sense of nostalgia that was very enjoyable. It's in a quiet neighborhood behind a historic temple, a few minutes walk to grocery stores, a delightful neighborhood izakaya, bakeries, and a place for the best breakfast and coffee ever called Hive. I will definitely stay at Terry's place the next time I make it to Kyoto... hopefully soon!

I wish I could’ve stayed longer ! Everything was perfect during my stay, it’s a very peaceful and quiet place, and we’re not too far from the center of Kyoto It was my first time sleeping on a futon and this is honestly very comfortable ! I’ve got welcomed by Mrs. T (I don’t know if I’m allowed to say her name in the review), she was so sweet and kind, she showed me some food recommendations, and brought my breakfast in the morning Thank you so much again for having me, and I hope to come back soon ! ☺️

Super cool house with tatami flooring but beds are extremely comfortable. You feel like you are living in history. It has all the modern comforts. AC heating etc. close to Kyoto station. Lots of taxis around. Host is super kid too. Have great recommendations on restaurants Would stay again.

Communication with the host was smooth, and they listened to my requests. The building was independent and I was able to stay without hesitation. It was nice to have games like baseball. Please note that if 6 people are staying, 2 will be in a double bed.
